The Network Administrator is responsible for ensuring infrastructure availability that meets established SLA and performance metrics to a level acceptable to the government customer. The NOC Network Administrator will provide management and support to vendor- and technology-diverse networks and infrastructures. This position is part of a highly technical team responsible for 24x7x365 support of a worldwide network containing over 2,800 networking devices that include switches, routers and wireless access points. The position also supports several network management systems that monitor the availability of the different layers of the IP stack (Devices, applications, interfaces, etc.) running in the environment.Job Duties/Responsibilities:<ul><li>Provide subject matter expertise and oversight for technical support services.</li><li>Perform on-site configuration, preventive maintenance inspection (PMI), troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and support services for COTHEN equipment at the Primary Operations Center/NLECC facility.</li><li>Coordinate work planning, scheduling, and execution for maintenance and repair services.</li><li>Facilitate and coordinate 3rd party depot-level maintenance and repair services for components not repairable on-site.</li><li>Provide software, hardware, and system engineering, evaluation, installation, configuration, integration, corrective and preventative maintenance, and support services for COTHEN fixed antenna sites.</li><li>Conduct comprehensive site surveys and evaluate proposed sites and equipment for integration into the COTHEN HF Network.</li><li>Provide on-site corrective and preventative maintenance and repair services for subscriber equipment at aircraft, vessel, and RCC sites.</li><li>Support configuration, maintenance, and repair of CBP and non-CBP HF subscriber radios and remote communications consoles (RCCs).</li><li>Perform product evaluation services for subscriber radios and RCCs considered for network integration.</li></ul>Required Clearance:Public Trust (#publictrust)Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Must be a U.S. Citizen and pass the DHS Employment Eligibility Verification process.</li><li>Associate degree in a related technical field, preferably Electronic Technology or Communication.</li><li>In absence of an Associate degree, a minimum of 5 years’ experience working with the COTHEN system.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience with HF/ALE tactical communications in both facility and field environments.</li><li>Experience with installation of HF system infrastructure, ancillary equipment, antennas, report preparation, testing/troubleshooting, programming, and operations &amp; maintenance.</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Able to lift over 30lbs without restriction to perform duties.</li></ul>Desired Qualifications:<ul><li>Experience working with radios on aircraft platforms.</li><li>Experience working with high frequency radios.</li><li>Strong technical writing, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.</li></ul><div></div>Our Field Service Engineers earn between $79,600 - $95,000.
