The Global Commercial Head, Breast Cancer, will be part of the Global Commercial Franchise Team. AstraZeneca has an industry leading portfolio of in-market and pipeline products focused on transforming care and improving patient outcomes, and as part of the Global Franchise Team, you will be integral to our collective efforts towards transforming care for cancer patients globally.This role, reporting into the Global Franchise Head, Breast Cancer, helps with the creation and leads the implementation of the global strategic brand plans. This role works with key global country and regional leads based in the US, Europe, Asia as well as wide range of headquarter functions including Marketing, Global Analytics &amp; Insights (GA&amp;I), Digital, Diagnostics, Pricing and Market Access, Global Medical Affairs (GMA), Regulatory affairs, and others.This position is based in Gaithersburg.Accountabilities<ul><li>Shaping product strategy and promotional campaign for the product including pre-launch and launch strategy plans and operational plans</li><li>Support with objectively analysing and commercially evaluating the emerging profile, competitive positioning, unmet need, pricing and market access, etc.</li><li>Generate deep customer and market insights to inform the design of clinical development program, brand strategy and regulatory plans that effectively address unmet customer needs and delivers optimum value back to the business</li><li>Build distinct market-shaping programs highlighting the large unmet need in the relevant disease areas</li><li>Create clear, winning brand strategies that incorporate feedback from key markets</li><li>Produce detailed strategic and operational commercial plans that address positioning, segmentation, pricing, value proposition, target market selection, etc. Track and manage associated budget to target.</li><li>Develop future-proofed revenue forecasts and business cases that are informed by robust customer insights with an overlay of commercial judgement.</li><li>Manage marketing relationships with agencies, vendor partners, consultants, and other third-party groups.</li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with relevant Commercial leadership (and other team members) to deliver the global ambition.</li><li>Collaborate closely with and provide direction to cross-functional partners (e.g. Insights, Access, Medical, Sales, Training, Corporate Affairs) for the development and implementation of both strategic and operational plans</li><li>Accountable for engaging with Regional/Country teams to ensure alignment and share learnings across markets</li><li>Develop and deliver key brand presentations to leadership</li><li>Manage agency relationships, workflow, and commercial budget</li></ul>Essential Skills/Experience<ul><li>10+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical development and commercialisation</li><li>Extensive breast cancer commercial experience</li><li>Proven strong pre-launch and launch excellence knowledge and skill in Marketing in a market such as EUCAN</li><li>Demonstrated success working in marketing teams to deliver effective commercial brand strategies, and compelling business cases.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of forecasting, market research, useful insight generation, and competitive landscape analysis and interpretation</li><li>Strong knowledge in global promotional campaigns and new product launches</li><li>Sound internal and external collaborator/partner engagement skills with demonstrated ability to seamlessly navigate scientific and commercial organisations to drive favourable business outcomes</li><li>Demonstrated ability to influence laterally and vertically</li><li>Strong analytical, organisational and communication/presentation skills (written and verbal)</li><li>Ability to thrive in ambiguity, with an entrepreneurial mind-set and a track record of exploring new ways of working, driving new opportunities and catalysing others to build creative solution</li><li>Scientific curiosity</li><li>Bachelors Degree in relevant field</li><li>Ability to manage complex projects</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work in matrixed environment and to work with Global team</li><li>Strong business acumen skills</li><li>Ability to lead without authority</li><li> Strong sense of urgency and ability to generate exceptional results by driving performance and collaborating across boundaries</li><li>High capability at working collaboratively, thinking strategically, and operating effectively in a rapidly evolving and competitive marketplace</li><li>High ethical standards and personal integrity</li><li>Demonstrated use of insights to deliver effective marketing strategies</li><li>Effective cross- functional project leadership and influencing skills to inform, persuade and lead across markets and functions</li><li>Ability to simultaneously manage multiple priorities with a high degree of autonomy</li><li>Strong clinical acumen and scientific mind-set</li><li>Enterprise mindset and focus; Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles).
