The Sr Accountant I or II will play a critical role managing network costs and debt accounting. The role requires strong analytical skills and knowledge of accounting principles.   A Day in the Life of the Sr. Accountant (I or II):  <ul> <li>Execution of monthly and quarterly close, ensuring accurate results are delivered on time for reporting in accordance with US GAAP</li> <li>Review network cost contracts and ensure proper accounting treatment</li> <li>Prepare journals, account reconciliations and perform fluctuation</li> <li>Ownership over network cost payments and accruals</li> <li>Support quarterly review and annual audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility and help develop/refine accounting processes and procedures</li> <li>Work cross functionally with Finance, Legal, AP, and various business owners on policies, processes, and help drive key system initiatives and improvements</li> <li>Other responsibilities include but are not limited to participation in special projects, system enhancements or ad hoc analyses as assigned</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li> </ul>   What You Bring to the Table:  <ul> <li>For Sr. Accountant II: 3+ years of Accounting experience is required</li> <li>For Sr. Accountant II: Minimum 2 years of Big 4 audit experience is required</li> <li>For Sr. Accountant I: 1 - 2 years of Accounting experience </li> <li>For Sr. Accountant I: 1 - 2 years of Big 4 audit experience is required </li> <li>Prior experience with month-end close procedure is a plus</li> <li>Experienced with major ERP systems (Great Plains, blackline, MDS etc.).</li> <li>Strong analytical, communication and written skills with the ability to convey clear and concise thoughts and ideas.</li> <li>Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of management and to adapt quickly as business needs evolve.</li> <li>Proficient in the utilization of all the Microsoft Office Suite programs, including, but not limited to MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel.</li> </ul>   Required Education: <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.</li> <li>CPA certification is required. </li> </ul>   Were Proud to Offer a Comprehensive Benefits Package Including: <ul> <li>401k retirement plan, with employer match</li> <li>Insurance options including: medical, dental, vision, life and STD insurance</li> <li>Paid Time Off/Vacation: Starting at 80 hours per year, and increases based on tenure with the organization</li> <li>Floating Holiday: 40 hours per year</li> <li>Paid Holidays: 7 days per year</li> <li>Paid Sick Leave: Astound allows a number of paid sick hours per calendar year and varies based on state and/or local laws</li> <li>Tuition reimbursement program</li> <li>Employee discount program</li> </ul> *Benefits listed above are for regular full-time position    Base Salary: The base salary range for this position is $85,000- $100,000 annually plus opportunities for bonus and benefits. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job.
