We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Rare Condition Account Manager (RCAM) to lead key relationships in the rare disease space, engaging with high value HCP’s, executives, and other key stakeholders within Top Centers of Excellence in assigned Region. This individual will have a primary focus on demand generation within Growth &amp; Genetics portfolio, calling on Pediatric Endocrinologists, Genetists, Orthopedics, &amp; Pediatrics with demonstrated experience accessing and achieving goals in large health care systems.This role is critical to driving therapy adoption through education, patient reimbursement and support, and long-term value creation in complex therapeutic and health care system environments. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of the dynamics specific to rare diseases, including limited patient populations, distribution networks, and evolving competitive landscapes.Key Responsibilities:<ul> <li>Responsible for demand generation within the Growth &amp; Genetics product portfolio and be accountable to develop expert product and disease state knowledge that allows them to engage in appropriate face-to-face clinical dialogue with healthcare professionals</li> <li>Effectively promote approved indications and product efficacy/safety profiles to support on-label prescribing for appropriate patients</li> <li>Develop and execute a territory business plan to achieve or exceed sales goals</li> <li>Establish strategic relationships with key stakeholders in assigned centers of excellence &amp; academic institutions that include physicians, administrative staff, nurses, care coordinators, and pharmacists to drive adoption of Ascendis products</li> <li>Lead cross-functional planning efforts to optimize access and adoption of rare disease therapies and identify referral networks within assigned customer segments</li> <li>Work collaboratively internal teams (Patient Services, Marketing, Medical Affairs, HEOR, Market Access) to ensure alignment of goals and execution</li> <li>Provide field insights on emerging treatment trends, patient’s needs, and competitor activity to internal stakeholders</li> <li>Stay current on rare disease market trends, policy developments (e.g., orphan drug policy), patient advocacy, and competitive activity.</li> <li>Experience launching or supporting ultra rare disease products</li> <li>Strong understanding of specialty drug (rare/orphan disease) environment to ensure customers’ and patients’ needs</li> <li>Ability to travel 70% and cover a large geographic area</li> </ul>Salary range: $195-215k/year DOEQualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred</li></ul><ul> <li>5+ years of experience in strategic account management, market access, or health system-based sales in the rare disease, biotech, or specialty pharma sector</li> <li>Proven ability to engage and influence high level stakeholders in key centers of excellence and academic institutions establishing measurable impact on product access and revenue growth</li> <li>Demonstrated use of product knowledge to engage in customized discussions and in-person interactions based on customer’s needs in a compliant and ethical manner</li> <li>Documented track record of consistent top performance</li> <li>Strong knowledge of rare disease market dynamics, including distribution, patient support, high-touch care coordination, and innovative reimbursement models</li> <li>Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills</li> <li>Strong clinical and business acumen with the ability to craft compelling clinical patient focused solutions</li> <li>Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and strategic account planning frameworks.</li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications:<ul> <li>Familiarity with integrated delivery networks (IDNs), PBMs, and specialty pharmacy operations.</li> <li>Proven success of balancing a product portfolio</li> </ul>
