<div><span>Articulate is looking for a Developer Experience leader to join our amazing Platform team! </span></div><div><br /></div><div><span>As an Engineering Manager for Developer Experience, youll be a technical, hands-on tactical leader in the organization who leads and guides the DevEx team in delighting our customers with world-class tooling and a self-service-oriented deployment strategy. Youll manage a mid-size team (typically 4-6 engineers) and bring a strong technical understanding along with leadership experience. </span></div><h3>What Youll Do:</h3><ul><li>Be an example of our HCO by fostering a culture of collaboration and automation by enhancing the efficiency and productivity of our software delivery process.  </li><li>Guide the definition and implementation of industry-leading tools and standards for building, promoting, deploying and testing features.</li><li>Use your extensive experience in both tooling and software deployment systems to grow and mentor the team in developer experience  best practices.</li><li>Manage 1:1s with the team to set goals, conduct performance reviews, and provide professional development opportunities specific to the needs of each team member.</li><li>Provide coaching, feedback, and plans to your reports to both improve team capabilities and to facilitate career growth.</li><li>Work cross-functionally to develop and execute a comprehensive release strategy that is seamlessly integrated with the SDLC and continuous delivery processes, ensuring software is consistently deployed through automated methods.</li><li>Oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient software delivery.</li><li>Define, implement and enforce quality gates throughout the software development and release process and ensure all software releases meet established quality standards before deployment.</li><li>Collaborate with security and development to continually refine our testing procedures to ensure a high standard of quality.</li><li>In collaboration with Site Reliability Engineering, manage and maintain internal test environments and implement policies for access, infrastructure, data and costs.</li><li>Provide release-level metrics and operating SLAs to inform the release decision-making processes.</li><li>Work with internal teams to continually evaluate and improve our existing processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.</li><li>Partner with architecture, platform and Site Reliability Engineering teams to align on long-term goals, set team goals and ensure accountability to those goals.</li><li>Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our practices remain relevant.</li><li>Guide the team to become self-organizing and self-healing so as to empower them to move quickly and iterate.</li></ul><h3>What You Should Have:</h3><ul><li>8+ years of experience in DevOps, Release Engineering and/or Automation on a modern development team.</li><li>5+ years in a leadership role as a senior developer, team lead, or engineering manager.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to set high standards and hold others accountable to those standards.</li><li>A strong focus on delivering results and the ability to balance business and technical requirements.</li><li>Hands on experience in deployment, version control and automation tools, with a focus on CICD technologies such as Jenkins, Ansible and Github actions.</li><li>Demonstrable experience with container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.</li><li>Proficient in programming and scripting languages, such as Python or Go.</li><li>Demonstrated experience with cloud-native monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog or Grafana.</li><li>Proven ability to review technical designs and identify opportunities for automation and delivery improvements.</li><li>Proven record of strong leadership, communication, team development, problem solving and organization skills.</li><li>Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively while helping the team to work in a similar way.</li></ul><div><span>About us</span></div><div><br /></div><div>Articulate Global, LLC, is the leading SaaS provider of creator platforms for online workplace training.
