At Arista, we take pride in our track record of success and strive to maintain the highest standards of quality and performance in everything we do.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p><strong>Who You’ll Work With</strong></p><p>You will be part of a global team of network automation experts, with a mission to modernize and transform how our customers design, build, and operate their networks. Working in partnership with the customer engineering team and product managers, you will assist in developing network design best practices across multi-domains: data center, campus/wifi, wide area networks, and service providers. You will then develop software to generate network configurations, documentation, and tests supporting the various design types.</p><p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p><p>We are seeking a talented and experienced Solutions Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network automation and contribute to developing the <a href="http://avd.arista.com">Arista AVD</a> network automation framework and integrations with CloudVision. You will work closely with solutions engineering, customer engineering, and software engineering teams to create new features, fix software defects, and improve the quality of the solution.</p><ul><li>Work on strategic initiatives for Arista AVD and CloudVision CI.</li><li>Develop and maintain test infrastructure (CI/CD tooling)</li><li>Actively participate in the AVD community (internal and external) by:<ul><li>Reviewing GitHub issues and pull requests</li><li>Provide Q&amp;A support on various channels (Google Chat, Slack, etc.)</li><li>Participate in conversations with various teams to brainstorm new ideas and ways to improve the solutions.</li><li>Enable customer engineering teams to contribute to AVD projects</li></ul></li><li>Update and maintain project documentation</li><li>Help maintain solutions engineering lab and test infrastructure</li><li>Create sales demos, proof of concepts, and product guides.</li><li>Assist with developing and delivering <a href="https://aristanetworks.github.io/avd-workshops/">Arista CI Workshops</a></li><li>Submit papers/talks for conferences (AutoCon/RedHat Summit/Nanog, etc.)</li><li>Participate in sales webinars to present and demonstrate the solutions</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.</li><li>5+ years’ working experience with network technologies, including network design and deployments of Campus,  Data Center, and WAN networks. Knowledge of leaf-spine architectures is highly desired</li><li>3+ years of experience in network automation, Infrastructure as code/NetDevOps.</li><li>Experience developing in Python.</li><li>Experience with using source control: Git, GitHub, GitLab.</li><li>Experience with orchestration tools such as Ansible.</li><li>Experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.</li><li>Experience with using or developing data models tailored for networking </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p><strong>Compensation Information:</strong></p><p>The new hire base pay for this role has a pay range of $121,000 to $167,000 across the US.</p><p>Arista offers different pay ranges based on work location, so that we can offer consistent and competitive pay appropriate to the market. The actual base pay offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location. The pay range provided reflects base pay only and in addition certain roles may also be eligible for discretionary Arista bonuses and equity. Employees in Sales roles are eligible to participate in Arista’s Sales Incentive Plan, which pays commissions calculated as a percentage of eligible sales. US-based employees are also entitled to benefits including medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, tax savings and income protection.
