Role description: Arcadis is looking for an experienced Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager to join our Resilience Water Team in Austin, Texas! As a Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager, you will utilize your expertise and technical knowledge to successfully execute projects. You will also assist with the pursuit of municipal water/wastewater distribution/collection systems, pump/lift stations, and/or treatment plant projects to help build and grow our practice in the Austin area and throughout Texas.  Role accountabilities: In this role you will manage projects, tasks, and clients through the planning, design, and construction of water/wastewater distribution/collection systems, pump/lift stations, stormwater systems, and/or treatment plants as well as creating construction documents and specifications, and handling construction oversight/administration for both new construction and rehabilitation work. Other responsibilities include: <ul> <li>Prepare complete design packages (including all deliverables) for the engineering, procurement, and construction of water, wastewater and stormwater pipeline and pump station projects from inception to completion. </li> <li>Coordinate execution of projects with other disciplines.</li> <li>Work directly with clients to determine needs and provide solutions and lead teams in the preparation of winning proposals and successful presentations.</li> <li>Manage and lead condition assessment evaluations for water, wastewater, and storm system assets including pipelines and pump/lift stations using a variety of approaches and technologies.</li> <li>Create and manage cost estimates and project schedules and be responsible for completing design tasks within budget and on schedule.</li> <li>Manage and lead the growth of client relationships.</li> <li>Supervise and support the work of others and mentor junior level engineers and other technical staff.</li> <li>Ensure project compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality and safety standards.</li> <li>Travel as needed for client meetings, project site visits, etc.</li> </ul> Required Qualifications: <ul> <li>8 years of water/wastewater experience. </li> <li>Bachelors Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or a related field of study.</li> <li>PE License in TX.</li> </ul> Key Skills and Attributes: <ul> <li>Project experience including design and construction of water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, stormwater systems, treatment plants, and pump/lift stations for municipal clients’ districts and agencies.</li> <li>Experience managing preparation of and reviewing and approving project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.</li> <li>Excellent technical engineering and project/task management skills in the water/wastewater practice area.</li> <li>Client relationship skills; including preparation and development of proposals and client management experience with a successful track record of delivering various engineering projects to the expectations of the client.</li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications:  <ul> <li>Master’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.</li> <li>10 years of experience.</li> <li>Resume that includes experience as the engineer of record delivering water transmission/distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and pump station designs for clients in the Austin market.</li> <li>Current client relationships in the Austin market with a demonstrated track record of preparing and winning proposals for water and wastewater projects. </li> <li>Alternative delivery project experience.</li> <li>Active participation in regional or national professional associations.</li> <li>NASSCO PACP/MACP/LACP Certification is a plus.</li> </ul> Why Arcadis?
