AppOmni is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Identity team. In this role, you will design and build high-throughput data pipelines in Python and Go, contribute to architectural decisions, develop APIs that power user-facing features,  and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. You will have a broad business impact by building the foundation for our Identity platform — an essential component that links, user activity, and anomalous behavior across SaaS applications back to individual identities. Trusted by over 30% of the Fortune 100, AppOmni specializes in securing diverse SaaS environments. <h3>Key Responsibilities</h3> <ol> <li>Architect &amp; Implement High-Throughput Data Pipelines</li> <ul> <li>Contribute to the design and build of scalable, cloud-native data pipelines leveraging Python and Go.</li> <li>Integrate and optimize streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, PubSub, Pulsar) and analytics engines (e.g., ClickHouse, Trino, Spark) to ingest and process petabytes of data daily.</li> <li>Ensure solutions meet performance and low-latency requirements for enterprise SaaS environments.</li> </ul> <li>API &amp; Feature Development</li> <ul> <li>Collaborate with frontend and product teams to deliver REST APIs that are performant, reliable, and aligned with end-user workflows.</li> </ul> <li>Technical Collaboration</li> <ul> <li>Work with other senior engineers and architects to align on system design, coding practices, and tooling.</li> <li>Participate in architectural discussions that balance immediate goals with long-term scalability.</li> </ul> <li>Project Execution &amp; Cross-Functional Alignment</li> <ul> <li>Take ownership of complex projects from scoping to delivery, collaborating with Product Management and other feature teams.</li> <li>Align technical solutions with broader business needs and customer requirements.</li> </ul> <li>Code Quality, Reliability &amp; Observability</li> <ul> <li>Champion engineering excellence by promoting test-centric development, code reviews, and proactive monitoring.</li> <li>Advocate for reliability, observability, and scalability at every stage of the development lifecycle.</li> </ul> <li>Proactive Improvement</li> <ul> <li>Identify and address technical debt, proposing improvements to existing features, the codebase, and team practices.</li> <li>Stay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies; recommend tools or processes that enhance productivity and performance.</li> </ul> <li>Team Collaboration &amp; Knowledge Sharing</li> <ul> <li>Serve as a resource for technical questions and reviews, fostering a culture of continuous learning.</li> <li>Offer constructive feedback in code reviews, encouraging best practices and high-quality solutions across the team.</li> </ul> </ol> <h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>4-8 years of professional software engineering experience, including hands-on development in Python or Go (experience in both is ideal).</li> <li>Proven track record in building  large-scale, high-throughput data pipelines or similar distributed systems.</li> <li>Experience with event-driven systems and messaging platforms (e.g., Google Pub/Sub, Kafka).</li> <li>Hands-on experience with relational and distributed databases (PostGres, Google Spanner or similar) Cloud-native development proficiency (e.g., containerization, CI/CD pipelines, microservices, observability tools).</li> <li>Solid understanding of instrumentation, logging, and metrics pipelines using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.Strong understanding of SaaS, security operations, is a plus (though not required).</li> <li>Excellent communication skills—capable of explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences and driving consensus.</li> <li>Comfortable in agile or agile-esque environments focused on rapid iteration, feedback, and continuous improvement.</li> </ul> Culture Our flexible, hybrid teams are collaborative and supportive as we move quickly to research and develop new ideas, deliver new features to our customers, and iterate on ideas and innovations. Our total rewards package includes the following: <ul> <li>Base Salary: The annual base salary compensation range in the U.S. for this role is: $180,000 - $210,000.
