Your contributions will build a system that is best-in-class, highly reliable for autonomous and advanced driver-assistance use cases. </p> <p>In addition to your engineering contributions, by working in our dynamic and customer-focused team culture, you will be a key contributor for a new business that builds on and informs best practices in the nascent autonomy industry. If you are hands-on and looking for a place to have a multiplying effect on making autonomous systems a reality, Applied is the place for you!</p> <p>We are hiring for all levels.</p> </div> <h2>At Applied Intuition, you will:</h2> <ul> <li>Design and implement a state of the art mapping and localization system capable of running on a variety of vehicles platforms, providing lifelong mapping and localization in dynamic environments</li> <li>Build a scalable system that can build local or global map, fuse live data with map</li> <li>Build real time onboard localization with high integrity as well as offboard localization methods </li> <li>Make best use of available resources and sensors including Inertial sensors, vehicle signals, GNSS, cameras, lidars, radars etc for mapping and localization</li> <li>Continuously and relentlessly improve the system performance using large-scale data driven methods rooted in first principles</li> </ul> <h2>Were looking for someone who has:</h2> <ul> <li>3+ yrs of experience building software components or (sub) systems that address real-world mapping and localization challenges</li> <li>Deep understanding of the core localization concepts, world representations and transforms, the intersection of mapping of localization, and error analysis and characterization</li> <li>Knowledge about how to analyze and compare the performance of various hardware solutions for localization</li> <li>C++ programming expertise</li> </ul> <h2>Nice to have:</h2> <ul> <li>MS / PhD with focus on localization, mapping closely related field</li> <li>Deep hands-on expertise in relevant algorithms or methods, such as SLAM, state estimation, non-linear optimization, Computer Vision, 3D geometry, numerical analysis, or distributed systems</li> <li>Deep understanding of sensors used for localization, state of the art industry solutions, and common approaches for production systems</li> <li>Experience with large-scale data processing using frameworks</li> </ul> <p>Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off.
