(Note: For EpiSci job openings, fully remote work will be considered by exception.)</em></p></div><h2>About the role</h2> <p>We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior/Manager to join our Finance team. This role will focus on income tax provision and compliance, with opportunities to expand into areas such as sales and use tax, inter-company transactions, and transfer pricing. The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years of experience in corporate or public accounting, a strong understanding of ASC 740, and a proactive attitude toward learning and supporting broader tax functions.</p> <h2>At Applied Intuition, you will:</h2> <ul> <li>Prepare and review quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740</li> <li>Assist in the preparation of the tax provision pack including supporting calculations, schedules, and required disclosures</li> <li>Perform stock-based compensation (ASC 718) tax calculations for provision and compliance</li> <li>Analyze and document uncertain tax positions (FIN 48), including measurement and recognition</li> <li>Calculate and maintain contingency reserves (ASC 450) for potential tax exposures</li> <li>Prepare US federal and state corporate income tax return workpapers, coordinating with external advisors as needed</li> <li>Support VAT, GST, U.S. sales and use tax compliance, including data gathering, return prep/review, and working with third-party vendors</li> <li>Prepare intercompany calculation based on transfer pricing policy</li> <li>Prepare and maintain tax account reconciliations and supporting documentation</li> <li>Assist in recording tax payment requests and track payments to ensure timely processing</li> <li>Assist in reconciling and documenting intercompany transactions, ensuring alignment with transfer pricing policies and support Transfer Pricing documentation compliance</li> <li>Support various ad hoc tax projects, such as audit responses, system implementations, research, and process improvements</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Were looking for someone who has:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred</li> <li>6 years+ of relevant tax experience in public accounting and/or a corporate tax department</li> <li>Solid understanding of ASC 740, with working knowledge of ASC 718, FIN 48, and ASC 450</li> <li>Experience preparing or reviewing US corporate tax return workpapers</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical and reconciliation skills</li> <li>Willingness to learn and contribute to sales and use tax compliance and other indirect tax areas</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally</li> <li>Experience with NetSuite ERP systems, experience with FloQast and SOVOS is a plus</li> </ul> <p>Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off.
