(Note: For EpiSci job openings, fully remote work will be considered by exception.)</em></p></div><h2><strong>About the role</strong></h2> <p>We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Payroll Analyst with hands-on expertise in Rippling Payroll systems to support our payroll operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing and auditing payroll, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and supporting payroll reporting and reconciliation tasks.</p> <h2>At Applied Intuition, you will:</h2> <ul> <li>Process bi-weekly payroll using Rippling, ensuring accuracy and timeliness</li> <li>Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation or deductions</li> <li>Audit payroll data for accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements</li> <li>Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and provide reporting as needed</li> <li>Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations</li> <li>Generate and review payroll reports, including tax filings, wage reports, and benefit deductions</li> <li>Reconcile payroll accounts and support monthly and year-end financial close processes</li> <li>Assist with audits (internal/external) by providing required payroll documentation</li> <li>Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, time off, and payroll deductions</li> <li>Continuously seek ways to improve payroll processes and system efficiency using Rippling tools and integrations</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Were looking for someone who has:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience)</li> <li>5+ years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years using Rippling payroll software</li> <li>Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance standards</li> <li>Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with reporting and analytics tools</li> <li>Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Nice to have:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Experience with multi-state payroll processing</li> <li>Familiarity with benefits administration through Rippling</li> <li>Knowledge of payroll accounting principles and reconciliations</li> <li>CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification)</li> </ul> <p>Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.</p> <p>Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position.
