(Note: For EpiSci job openings, fully remote work will be considered by exception.)</em></p></div><h2><strong>About the role</strong></h2> <p>We are looking for a passionate Research Engineer to join the Research Team at Applied Intuition. This team conducts world-class research for autonomous systems with applications to autonomous driving and general robotics. You will have access to millions of miles of large-scale data and industry-leading simulators and tools to develop cutting-edge models at scale. </p> <p>In addition to your research contributions, you will contribute to and learn from best practices in the autonomy and robotics industry within our fast-paced and customer-focused culture. Improvements deployed to our system immediately help our customers with their programs and deliver value to our business.</p> <h2><strong>At Applied Intuition, you will:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Conduct research on architecture design, robustness, safety, and language modality incorporation for our differentiable stack</li> <li>Work closely with Research Scientists and interns on high-quality research publications to submit to top-tier conferences</li> <li>Collaborate with our ADAS stack engineering team to test and deploy end-to-end algorithms for mass production vehicles</li> <li>Collaborate with our simulation team to deploy data-driven generation algorithms for highly efficient and automated tools</li> </ul> <h2><strong>We’re looking for someone who has:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Hands-on experience with end-to-end autonomy, vision-language-action model, reinforcement learning, multi-view perception and ML planner</li> <li>A passion for scalable, data-driven autonomy for real-world systems</li> <li>Strong research skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively on projects</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Nice to have:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>MSc or PhD in machine learning and computer vision with autonomy and robotics applications or closely related field</li> <li>Experience with training with large-scale data and ML models and/or applying language modality in AV stacks</li> <li>Passion for building and shipping customer-focused software frameworks or tools</li> </ul> <p>Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits.
