The Target Pay Range for this position in NYC is  $ 149,000 to $187, 000 annually.The Target Pay Range for this position in Fountain Valley, CA is  $ 130,000 to $ 162,000 annually. </div>Job Summary: We are looking for a highly collaborative and forward-thinking Azure Architect to design and guide the implementation of scalable, secure, cost effective, and resilient Azure solutions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent developer experience in a complex environment. In this role, you will collaborate with our DevSecOps team, various development teams as well as non-technical groups around the organization on Azure needs, as well as our existing Azure Architect and engineering team.Key Responsibilities: <ul><li>Design and implement Azure-based solutions that meet security, scalability, and performance requirements.</li><li>Work closely with DevSecOps to embed security and compliance controls into cloud infrastructure from the ground up.</li><li>Partner with development teams to support cloud-native application design and deployment using Azure services with a long-term focus on cloud provider agnostic tools such as Kubernetes.</li><li>Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.</li><li>Drive the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, documentation , and monitoring practices.</li><li>Guide architectural decisions across projects and ensure adherence to best practices and enterprise standards.</li><li>Participate in cloud governance and cost optimization efforts.</li><li>Lead architecture reviews, design workshops, and technical deep dives.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Experience: <ul><li>5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with 3+ years focused on Microsoft Azure.</li><li>Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field. Master preferred.</li><li>Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert preferred.</li><li>Strong background working with cross-functional teams, especially DevSecOps, security and software engineering.</li><li>Experience working in veterinary or human healthcare is a plus.</li><li>Hands-on experience with key Azure services including Key Vault, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), App Services, App Config, function apps, and logic apps.</li><li>Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep) and other similar methodologies for managing infrastructure and platform.</li><li>Solid understanding of cloud security principles, identity management, and compliance frameworks and especially unique security considerations in the cloud.</li><li>Proven ability to align cloud architecture with business goals and stakeholder needs.</li><li>Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.</li><li>Experience with Agile methodologies and modern DevSecOps and platform engineering practices.</li><li>Knowledge of containerization and microservices architecture.</li><li>Familiarity with business analysis or product management concepts is a plus.</li></ul>Physical Demands:<ul><li>Extensive sitting, phone, and computer use</li><li>Extend and reach with hands and arms and use hands and fingers</li><li>Occasionally required to bend, kneel, stoop, or crouch</li><li>May be required to lift, move, and carry up to 15 lbs.</li><li>Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.</li><li>Hearing ability to effectively communicate via the telephone and in person</li><li>Ability to communicate verbally on the telephone and in person</li><li>Fluency in the English language</li><li>Extended hours may be needed</li></ul>Work Environment:The employee will primarily work in a typical office environment including use of cubicles, computers and overhead lighting.
