This role is responsible for the strategic direction, execution, and operational excellence of our IAM team, which is centered on the Okta platform. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with a strong technical foundation in modern IAM solutions and a passion for agile development. You will be responsible for mentoring the team, defining the product roadmap, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and iterative delivery. You will collaborate with stakeholders across Security, Compliance, Engineering, and HR to deliver secure, scalable, and user-friendly identity solutions that support Angis business objectives. What you’ll do Leadership &amp; Strategy <ul> <li>Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of IAM engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.</li> <li>Define and own the strategic roadmap for the IAM program, aligning with business goals, security requirements, and technology advancements.</li> <li>Drive the architectural vision for our identity ecosystem, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability with a focus on zero trust and least-privilege principles.</li> <li>Manage resource allocation, set performance goals, and provide regular feedback and career development opportunities for your team.</li> </ul> Agile Program Management <ul> <li>Lead the IAM team using Agile methodologies to ensure the timely and iterative delivery of high-value projects and features.</li> <li>Manage the product backlog for IAM initiatives, working with stakeholders to prioritize work, define user stories, and establish clear acceptance criteria.</li> <li>Champion a culture of continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) and automation within the IAM space.</li> <li>Work with Team TPM to facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to drive transparency and continuous improvement.</li> </ul> Technical Oversight &amp; Governance <ul> <li>Oversee the management of our Okta environment, guiding the team on best practices for Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Universal Directory, and API integrations.</li> <li>Ensure the robust implementation of modern authentication and authorization standards, including SAML, OAuth, and OIDC.</li> <li>Guide the architectural design of automated user lifecycle management processes and complex Okta Workflows.</li> <li>Serve as an escalation point and subject matter expert for complex IAM-related issues, providing architectural guidance and support.</li> </ul> Collaboration &amp; Compliance <ul> <li>Partner with Security and Compliance teams to ensure IAM solutions meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices, and to streamline access reviews and audits.</li> <li>Collaborate with senior leadership and key stakeholders to translate business requirements into a technical IAM strategy and communicate program status, risks, and successes.</li> </ul> Who you are Required Qualifications <ul> <li>Proven experience in Identity and Access Management, with at least 3+ years in a people management or team leadership role.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience leading a technical team using Agile methodologies.</li> <li>Strong strategic understanding of the Okta platform, including core functionalities like SSO, MFA, Universal Directory, and User Lifecycle Management.</li> <li>Deep knowledge of modern authentication and authorization protocols, including SAML, OAuth, and OIDC.</li> <li>Experience overseeing the use of REST APIs and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, JavaScript) for automation in an IAM context.</li> <li>Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate a technical vision to both technical and non-technical audiences.</li> </ul> Preferred Skills <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.</li> <li>Okta Certified Administrator/Consultant or other relevant industry certifications.</li> <li>Experience overseeing the design and implementation of complex, multi-system automations using Okta Workflows.</li> <li>Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools like Terraform.</li> <li>Experience with project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.</li> <li>Strong business acumen and experience with reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs).</li> </ul> We value diversity We know that the best ideas come from teams where diverse points of view uncover new solutions to hard problems.
