The job requires solid analog and digital power systems design with commensurate laboratory skills. Additional job responsibilities include writing circuit documentation and application notes. Clear and concise communications skills are also essential. This is an excellent opportunity to work with some of the best circuit designers in the industry armed with the tools, knowledge, and technologies of the leader in power management. More specifically, the candidate needs to contribute in the following areas:<ul><li>New Product Development<ul><li>Verify the architecture and power solution through behavioral simulations.</li><li>Design and debug of new evaluation boards for internal silicon verification</li><li>Perform dedicated functional test on new products in development to identify bugs and limitations</li></ul></li><li>Development of Reference Designs and Collaterals<ul><li>Generate and validate reference designs for system verification.</li><li>Develop design collaterals to assist customers with designs, such as datasheets, evaluation kit manuals application notes, layout guidelines and simulation models.</li><li>Performing verification and testing of evaluation kits, and generating evaluation reports for customers</li></ul></li><li>Team support<ul><li>Support FAEs and remote Application Teams</li><li>Support Troubleshooting of difficult or unusual technical problems</li><li>Suggest product and application improvements.</li></ul></li></ul>Education<ul><li>BSEE (or equivalent) required.</li><li>Preferred MSEE (or equivalent).</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Clear and concise communication skills</li><li>Digital and software design skills</li><li>Understanding of circuit simulation and/or software development tools and techniques</li><li>Experience debugging circuits.</li><li>Ability to self-manage and meet deadlines.</li><li>Can work both independently and with a cross-functional team.</li><li>Strong knowledge of: Power conversions topology. Control architecture, stability issue and protection strategy</li><li>High efficiency power converter circuit design.
