This individual will become a specialist on Amplify’s solutions and find opportunities to serve schools and districts and, in doing so, achieve revenue targets. The new hire must be skilled at consultative sales and highly motivated to build this new business. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of successfully selling print and digitally delivered instructional products and services, possesses knowledge of the K-12 sector, works well in a fast-paced company, and is driven to achieve sales goals.Essential Responsibilities:<ul><li>Develop and maintain expertise in Amplify’s products</li><li>Deliver high-quality, consultative discussions to identify customer needs and align Amplify’s products and services to address those needs</li><li>Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets</li><li>Maintain a thorough understanding of the educational marketplace, industry trends, funding developments, and Amplify products</li><li>Build and nurture relationships with key buying stakeholders in accounts, including Superintendents, Curriculum Directors, Department Heads, teachers, and other influential school district contacts</li><li>Provide timely and accurate reporting of pipeline, forecasts, account plans, and territory management activities as required</li><li>Develop and maintain a business pipeline of prospective clients and assume all territory management in the assigned territory</li><li>Gain customer commitments and advance opportunities through the sales process</li><li>Continually prospect for new business throughout the calendar year</li><li>Conduct customer-facing meetings in schools and district offices</li><li>Research territory trends, competition, and funding sources to strategically drive new sales</li><li>Devise and implement effective campaigns within the assigned region</li><li>Serve as a mentor to new AE’s</li><li>Deliver high-quality presentations and pitches</li><li>Network internally to secure tools needed to be successful, i.e., per diems, trainers</li><li>Work with Field Marketing to execute your territory plans to ensure you have the marketing needs you need to be successful</li><li>Collaborate with other teams (product, marketing, sales enablement, product specialists) to ensure regional needs are voiced</li><li>Present at national sales meetings (SSM/WSM)</li><li>Lead competition studies</li><li>Collect regional data/trends to share with District Managers</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree</li><li>Able to travel and willing to commit to a heavy travel schedule (60-70% when traveling)</li><li>Must live within the Sales Territory - New Mexico &amp; West Texas</li><li>Excellent verbal, written and comprehension skills</li><li>6+ years successful direct K-12 sales experience </li><li>Strong presentation skills</li><li>Deep understanding of the education sector and core curriculum market in Science, ELA and Math</li><li>Experience driving state and local adoption timelines and processes for both basal and supplemental print and technology-based materials</li><li>Experience using federal funds for the purchase of technology-based instructional goods and professional services  </li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision</li><li>Experience selling to schools and districts within the assigned region</li></ul>What we offer: Salary is only one component of the Amplify Total Rewards package, which includes a 401(k) plan, stock options, competitive health insurance and mental health options, basic life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and access to best-in-class development programs. The gross salary range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000.
