Ready to make an impact? Let’s talk.</p> <h3><strong>The Role</strong></h3> <p>At Amperity, engineers work in small, collaborative feature teams. As a Lead SDE youll contribute across teams that move quickly, embracing rapid, iterative development to solve meaningful customer problems and improve the platform. Engineers are involved in shaping what we build and how we build it, working with Product, Support, Customer Success, and Go-to-Market teams to create features and seamless customer experiences. We keep our processes lightweight, our communication clear, and our focus on delivering value. You will report to the Sr. Manager, Engineering.</p> <h3><strong>Interesting Problems</strong></h3> <p>Were solving tough problems at the intersection of large-scale data, AI, and user experience. Some of the challenges you might work on include:</p> <ul> <li>Process and understand large volumes of structured and unstructured customer, product, and event data.</li> <li>Building full-stack experiences and intuitive toolsets that help users visualize their data, understand their customers, and surface impactful insights.</li> <li>Apply the latest data science and AI advancements to accelerate time-to-value for data developers and marketers.</li> <li>Integrate our platform into the operating core of the businesses we serve.</li> <li>Rethink how marketers and customer teams activate and use data to accomplish measurable outcomes.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>About You</strong></h3> <p>A leader with a product mindset and experience solving deep engineering problems that unlock customer value. You think at the system level, lead projects that span teams, and help set the technical direction for the team. You lead through example, mentorship, and well-reasoned decisions.</p> <ul> <li>12+ years of experience building and evolving complex, high-scale software systems.</li> <li>Technical leadership experience driving major features or platform evolution across multiple teams.</li> <li>Expertise in designing distributed systems, data-intensive applications, or cloud-native architectures.</li> <li>You have elegant coding skills with well thought out system design capabilities.</li> <li>You are comfortable working in functional languages like Clojure.</li> <li>Experience aligning technical strategy with our priorities and customer needs.</li> <li>You bring a desire to mentor engineers, improving teams, and improving how we build.</li> <li>Experience with version control systems like GitHub / GitLab and developing Git branching approaches</li> <li>Experience with a data warehouse like Snowflake, Redshift, or Spark</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Location</strong></h3> <p><strong>Seattle, WA </strong></p> <p>Our hybrid work model includes three days in the office each week, providing a mix of in-person collaboration and remote flexibility</p> <h3><strong>Compensation</strong></h3> <p><strong>Base Salary:  $190,000-$260,000. </strong>Within our pay range, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, experience, and education/training. </p> <p><strong>Cash Incentives: </strong>Cash incentives are also available.</p> <p><strong>Stock Options:  </strong>The opportunity for ownership is an exciting part of Amperity’s total compensation package.
