You’ll collaborate with world-class experts across domains to build high-impact digital solutions that accelerate research, streamline operations, and empower better patient outcomes. </div>The Senior Technical Manager – hands-on AWS will lead a team of engineers across multiple functions, including Cloud Engineering, Cloud Operations, Automation, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). This leader will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of cloud-based services, with a primary focus on AWS. In this vital role you will: <ul><li> Leadership &amp; Strategy<ul><li>Lead and develop a team of cloud engineers and SREs, ensuring dedication and career growth.</li><li>Define and implement the cloud strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.</li></ul></li><li>Cloud Engineering &amp; Operations<ul><li>Lead all aspects of and be hands-on with the design, deployment, and management of AWS-based Amgen cloud platform.</li><li>Ensure the availability, performance, and security of cloud services through automation and standard methodologies.</li><li>Implement cost optimization strategies and handle cloud budgets effectively.</li></ul></li><li>Site Reliability &amp; Automation<ul><li>Deep experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, and CI/CD pipelines using the GitOps methodology.</li><li>Lead incident response and root cause analysis to minimize downtime and improve resiliency.</li><li>Develop and carry out observability and monitoring strategies across Amgen cloud platform</li></ul></li><li>Security &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Ensure cloud environments are aligned with industry standards </li><li>Work closely with security teams to carry out IAM, encryption, and compliance standard methodologies.</li></ul></li><li>Partner &amp; Vendor Management<ul><li>Collaborate with engineering, security, and business teams to define cloud requirements.</li><li>Manage relationships with cloud service providers and third-party vendors to ensure optimal service delivery.</li></ul></li></ul><div>Win </div><div>What we expect of you </div><div>We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients.
