This senior leader will define the engineering vision, build scalable solutions for end-to-end customer journeys, and ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met. The role requires a deep technical background, outstanding leadership skills, and the ability to shape engineering capabilities that protect our customers and the integrity of the financial system.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Engineering Strategy &amp; Vision: Define and execute the engineering roadmap for financial crime platforms, aligning with enterprise strategy and regulatory obligations.</li><li>Technology Delivery: Lead the design, development, and implementation of secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions for fraud prevention, AML, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring.</li><li>Innovation &amp; Modernization: Drive adoption of modern architectures (cloud-native, microservices, APIs) and emerging technologies such as AI/ML, graph analytics, and real-time monitoring.</li><li>Regulatory &amp; Compliance Alignment: Ensure engineering solutions meet regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements, enabling effective risk management.</li><li>Engineering Excellence: Establish best practices in coding, testing, automation, and DevSecOps to deliver resilient and high-quality platforms.</li><li>Cross-functional Partnership: Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Business stakeholders to co-create solutions that balance security, customer experience, and business value.</li><li>Leadership &amp; Culture: Build and inspire a world-class engineering organization, fostering a culture of accountability, inclusion, innovation, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Talent Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop top engineering talent across global locations.</li><li>Stakeholder Influence: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and business partners, communicating technical strategies and delivery outcomes effectively.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>15+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including 5+ years in a senior/executive engineering leadership role.</li><li>Proven expertise in building and scaling technology platforms for financial crime prevention, fraud management, or risk/compliance solutions a plus.</li><li>Strong background in distributed systems, real-time transaction processing, and data engineering at scale.</li><li>Hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), microservices, and APIs.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to deliver enterprise-scale solutions in regulated industries, preferably financial services or fintech.</li><li>Strong understanding of AML, KYC, sanctions, and fraud prevention regulatory frameworks.</li><li>Experience leading large, diverse, and global engineering organizations.</li><li>Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills across technical, business, and regulatory audiences.</li><li>Strong business acumen with ability to connect engineering outcomes to customer trust, compliance, and enterprise risk reduction.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Data/AI-driven engineering experience.</li></ul> Salary Range: $219,000.00 to $338,250.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
