Find your place in risk and analytics on #TeamAmex.Enterprise Data Risk Management (EDRM), within the Global Risk &amp; Compliance organization, is the independent risk management function covering risk of financial loss, reputational damage, or regulatory or legal action resulting from inadequate data governance and/or data management practices, which could adversely impact the accuracy, timeliness, comprehensiveness, or usability of data throughout its lifecycle.How will you make an impact in this role?Enterprise Data Risk Management is hiring a Manager who will play a key role in supporting management of the EDRM book of work as well as preparation and submission of executive committee and interagency materials. The Manager will also participate in a company-wide initiative to strengthen risk management and controls across the company.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Support management of the book of work that enables the strategic vision of Data Risk Management, aligning with the companys overall data risk management practices on data usability, data confidentiality, and data availability &amp; integrity, throughout the Data Lifecycle, for AXP data managed internally and/or at third parties</li><li>Support interactions for Enterprise Data Risk Management with regulatory agencies and internal audit</li><li>Develop Committee materials related to Data Risk Management</li><li>Ensure Data Risk is managed in accordance with applicable requirements and aligns with industry practices</li><li>Develop Data Risk Management communications ensuring alignment with Data Risk Management strategy and broader Global Risk and Compliance vision and mission</li><li>Support the implementation and adoption of Enterprise Data Risk Management policies and procedures in alignment with industry practices and global standards</li><li>Partner with teams across Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Information Technology, Information Security, Enterprise Data Office, and business units to implement effective data risk mitigation strategies</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in data management, risk management, or a related field within the financial services industry</li><li>Knowledge of data governance, data compliance, and data-related issue management in large, financial services firms</li><li>Demonstrated ability to effectively navigate and manage relationships with senior stakeholders at multiple levels</li><li>Familiarity with regulatory bodies and what it means to be compliant with laws, rules, and regulations</li><li>Strong program and change management skills, including the ability to manage through influence</li><li>Familiarity with all aspects of the data lifecycle</li><li>Exceptional verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities under tight timeframes and to adapt to frequent change</li><li>Ability to work independently and across a matrix organization, excellent relationship building skills</li><li>Highly organized with attention to detail, sense of follow-through, and accountability</li><li>Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree a plus</li></ul> Salary Range: $89,250.00 to $150,250.00 annually + bonus + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
