    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.     This role’s primary responsibilities are building a global business through the development and management of strategic partnership with product operations, and 3rd party teams. Emphasis on driving development of tailored solutions to address our customers needs. These solutions enable product teams to personalize or transform their products for specific purposes such as different geographies, customer sets or improve product quality.     This role will require the ability to navigate ambiguity, exercise strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to engage internal and external stakeholders. To succeed in this role, you must be motivated, autonomous with the ability to think big while still delivering projects on time and within budget. VAS is part of the Device Global Logistics organization (DGL).

    Key job responsibilities
    • Managing cross-functional initiatives, organizing, and executing complex projects across multiple teams and organizations (Amazon Devices product teams, Quality, Launch, Transportation, BI, Operations, Finance, etc.) and stakeholders, both internal and external.
    • Ability to optimize VAS operations by partnering with technical teams (software, hardware, packaging and quality); independently assess technical needs, develop solutions, and lead implementation to support product teams objectives.
    • Expertise in system management including overseeing technological systems like inventory, and the ability to develop a holistic overview and generate performance reports.
    • Deep understanding of consumer electronics including technical specifications and industry trends.
    • Manage all phases of the project lifecycle including: Scoping, Research/Analysis, Execution and Post Mortem while ensuring that pre-established productivity is on track.
    • Launch projects domestically and internationally while working with remote teams.
    • Partnering with key supply chain experts across DGL to lead, support, and influence new business initiatives to help VAS scale globally.
    • Building strong partnerships with 3PL operation field leaders to identify opportunities to innovate new technology and scale productively with new initiatives.
    • Analyzing and solving operational and technical barriers with a focus on understanding root causes and financial drivers.
    • Strong data extraction, analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work with large, complex data sets and familiarity with statistics or other analytical techniques; excellent excel skills
    • Traveling as required

    The role requires proven project management skills to lead and execute technically complex, global initiatives across multiple teams and under tight timelines. You will identify and solve challenging problems designed to unblock sales or safeguard star ratings while leading teams through new and ambiguous situations. Strong accountability and decision-making skills are essential. Must have excellent writing and presentation skills. The candidate will communicate with senior leadership on status, risks, and process changes.
