Overview:
 

We are seeking a polished and highly skilled Executive Support Technician to serve as the face of IT for our executive team in Irvine, CA. Reporting to the Senior Manager of End User Support, this role is responsible for delivering high-touch, white-glove onsite and remote technical support to senior executives and their administrative staff. You will serve as a trusted partner, ensuring flawless technology experiences in both day-to-day operations and high-visibility executive events, with a particular focus on AV and conferencing technologies. A flexible, service-driven approach and the ability to operate under pressure are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the single point of contact for all technology needs of executives and their support teams, delivering exceptional onsite support in the Irvine office. This position is located in Irvine, CA and due to the nature of this role and its function, we are seeking a candidate who is able to work in the office as necessary. There will be many opportunities to work remote as well.

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with executives and their admins to proactively identify needs and ensure a consistently positive IT experience.

  • Provide end-to-end onsite support for executive meetings, town halls, and events, including setup, operation, and troubleshooting of AV systems in both office and remote environments.

  • Serve as an expert on AV technologies and conferencing platforms (Zoom, Teams, Webex), ensuring seamless performance and user confidence in high-stakes settings.

  • Deliver hands-on and remote guidance, training, and documentation to executive staff to enable self-sufficiency and fast issue resolution.

  • Own executive support event planning and coordination, including technology readiness, travel support, and real-time troubleshooting.

  • Work collaboratively across IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues efficiently while maintaining clear and timely communication with executive stakeholders.

  • Maintain and document executive support procedures, drive continuous improvement, and align service delivery with evolving business and leadership expectations.

  • Manage ticketing and documentation processes with accuracy and thoroughness, reflecting a high level of service accountability.

  • Provide home office support and occasional travel-based assistance for offsite executive meetings or events (<10% travel required).

  • Support mobility and travel technology needs for executives as necessary.

  • Adapt work hours to accommodate executive schedules, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends, as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.

  • Proven experience supporting C-level executives in a high-pressure, high-visibility environment.

  • 7+ years of IT support experience with both Mac and Windows systems in a corporate setting.

  • 5+ years of experience in a senior desktop support, executive support, or similar client-facing IT role.

  • In-depth knowledge and support experience with AV technologies and conferencing solutions.

  • Polished interpersonal and communication skills and an approachable, service-oriented demeanor with an ability to engage with executive stakeholders and their teams professionally and effectively.

  • Strong crisis management and issue resolution skills, with the ability to maintain composure and discretion.

  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (VPN, printing, device connectivity).

  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and a proactive, customer-first approach.

  • Experience working within an ITIL/ITSM framework and using a ticketing system for incident tracking.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Apple Mac support certification.

  • ITIL/ITSM certification or training.

  • Experience leveraging AI tools and automation to improve IT support processes, increase efficiency, and enhance end-user productivity.

Compensation:

Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location. 

The salary range for this role in California is $95,425 - $105,400.

In addition, you may be eligible for other compensation, such as a bonus. Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, including medical, retirement, financial, wellness, time off, employee discounts, and others.
