In this role, you will be building features that solve real problems for clients seeking care. The ideal candidate is able to recognize that successful software development requires communication, experimentation, and iteration.   On this team, you will have a strong hand in defining Almas features, services, and architecture. The ideal person for this role loves to collaborate, has a foundation in backend engineering but is still comfortable leading complex frontend initiatives and leverages this skill set to build amazing digital experiences. Ideally this candidate is able to bridge the connection of the frontend and the backend. <h3>What You’ll Do:</h3> <ul> <li>(50%) Work across the stack and support complex initiatives in both the front and backend based on team need</li> <li>(30%) Plan complex projects with stakeholders and guide execution and delivery</li> <li>(15%) Own team quality practices and push for improvements</li> <li>(5%) Mentor other team members in thinking about the big picture, long term support plans, and building scalable and maintainable code</li> </ul> How You’ll Do It: <ul> <li>Gain a deep understanding of what Alma clients, providers, and Insurance partners do, how they operate, and where their pain points are</li> <li>Design, develop, and implement maintainable and scalable product features using modern web technologies (React, Typescript, Python, Django, MySQL)</li> <li>Develop both internal and provider-facing tools features in a variety of areas including insurance eligibility, payer expansion, and claim submission</li> <li>Collaborate with Alma managers, PMs, and designers to conceptualize and build solutions</li> <li>Ensure applications and services meet Almas standards for software including performance, scalability, and security</li> </ul> <h3>Who You Are:</h3> <ul> <li>You have 4-7 years of experience as an engineer with a proven history of working across the stack and building products at scale.</li> <li>You have extensive experience with web technologies.
