Job Description

Allstate Investments’ Public Fixed Income Group is seeking an analyst to join our credit research team as a climate specialist that supports our public fixed income research analysts and portfolio managers.
The analyst role is focused on enhancing the teams climate expertise and fostering objective, actionable, and influential climate awareness to improve decision-making processes. This position requires close collaboration with analysts and portfolio managers to develop investment themes and influence relative value ratings through a climate perspective. Additionally, the analyst will monitor regulatory and legislative developments, emphasizing their impact on research analysts. The role also involves working with our climate team and external climate resources and experts. Given our team-oriented process, the ability to work effectively within the group is essential


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a framework that enables research analysts and PMs to price climate risks and opportunities
  • Influence relative value ratings positively or negatively and inform position weights through climate research assessments
  • Analyze and present climate opportunities and risks inherent in potential climate investments
  • Monitor and stay informed about critical climate risks and developments
     

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This job does not have supervisory duties.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance
  • MBA and/or CFA a plus
  • 3-8 years of investment experience with a focus on climate

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • No Certification, License or Registration is required for the job.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

  • Solid financial modeling skills coupled with a solid understanding of climate, finance, economics, and market cycles
  • Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to be a reliable team player, build trust and confidence through collaboration with a wide range of internal and external colleagues
  • Ability to work independently; efficiently prioritize workstreams
  • Strong work ethic and communication skills
  • Advanced Excel skills, Bloomberg

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $130,000.00 - 190,000.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
