<h3>Company Description</h3><p>The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for the efficient and accurate execution of the full accounts payable cycle. This role oversees the AP team and is critical for managing high-volume, multi-entity transactions across our network of veterinary clinics. The Manager will ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements and drives continuous process improvements and system efficiencies across all consolidated entities. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. The AP Manager reports to the Controller of Finance.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p><strong>Management &amp; Leadership</strong></p><ul><li>Lead, mentor, and evaluate the Accounts Payable team (6 teammates), providing constant support and ensuring high levels of productivity, accuracy, and professional development.</li><li>Manage daily AP workflow, including setting and monitoring performance metrics for the AP function.</li><li>Oversee timecard review and adjustment processes for AP teammates.</li></ul><p><strong>Operations &amp; Payment Execution</strong></p><ul><li>Direct the high-volume, full-cycle payment process for all consolidated entities, including performing twice-weekly ACH and Check Runs and resolving all payment exceptions.</li><li>Administer procurement compliance, including the approval of Fixed Assets in the workflow system and processing initial invoices for new clinics.</li><li>Provide critical administrative support related to clinic operations.</li></ul><p><strong>Compliance &amp; Financial Closing</strong></p><ul><li>Manage Accounts Payable month-end closing activities, including the preparation of complex accruals for allocated expenses, and supporting the financial process.</li><li>Ensure adherence to all tax compliance requirements by managing and tracking Property Tax and Sales Tax.</li><li>Process void checks and place stop payments with the bank (BOA) as needed.</li></ul><p><strong>Vendor &amp; Administrative Systems</strong></p><ul><li>Manage the end-to-end vendor lifecycle, including new vendor setup, obtaining W9s, handling vendor communications, and maintaining accurate master files and banking information.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>5+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.</li><li>Veterinary AP management experience preferred, although we will also consider strong candidates from other industries.</li><li>Proven ability to manage high-volume, deadline-driven AP environments.</li><li>Exceptional system skills; extensive experience with a major ERP system. Flexi Software experience is a plus. Strong Excel skills.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for managing staff and engaging with vendors, clinic staff, operations, and DVM partners.</li><li>A positive, can-do attitude; strong people skills/emotional intelligence; willingness to roll up your sleeves and chip in to help the team.</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3>
