General: The Supply Chain Planning team plays a critical role in managing several aspects of the supply chain process – for example, forecasting supply and demand across all our assortments and geographies, managing finished good vendor communication, keeping a close eye on inventory levels, identifying key commercial products, managing pricing, and playing a key role in the go-to-market process for new products. We are looking for a highly analytical individual with previous planning experience, comfortable dealing with large data sets in order to quickly inform supply and demand decisions that impact our bottom line. This individual should have experience owning end-to-end sales and inventory plans, and should possess excellent communication and cross-functional collaborations skills. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to be close to the strategy and execution of product, merchandising, and the analytical side of a high growth consumer products business. You will work cross functionally with logistics, finance, product strategy, product development, merchandising, wholesale and marketing to match supply with demand and bring new products to market; while tracking to operational efficiency KPIs.    What does the job entail? <ul> <li>Own and fully manage various processes such as Global Purchase Order placement, supply and capacity planning, material planning, factory and internal communication.</li> <li>Ownership of product planning for the Apparel &amp; Accessories business; managing end-to-end processes such as long term forecasts, roadmap ideation, vendor communication, purchase orders, inventory management, sales recaps and channel level replenishment strategies.</li> <li>Strong partnership with US inbound logistics to ensure proper inventory management and on-time arrival to support the planning team’s demand plans.</li> <li>Work closely with Vietnam team to understand risks &amp; opp of X-factory timing to perform cost/benefit analysis on inventory timing to the US DCs</li> <li>Execute PO adjustments as needed (QTY, SKU or Destination strategic updates) and support replenishment/chase strategies for all products</li> <li>Prep production plans and purchase orders to factories after reviewing production capacity, operational constraints, material availability, and inputs from regional and retail teams.</li> <li>Maintain optimal channel inventory through the various stages of the product lifecycle; act as the central point of contact for all supply chain matters for new product launches, replenishment &amp; aged inventory</li> <li>Work closely with our Logistics team to ensure products are arriving by their intended launch dates while balancing freight expenses and overall margin.</li> <li>Partner with cross-functional product teams to develop and communicate key deadlines for launches based on product lead times and critical milestones in go-to-market process that impact supply chain planning</li> <li>Serve as a key point of contact for global manufacturing partners and regional planning teams</li> <li>Build and evolve our supply planning capabilities, tools and processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy as we scale. This includes being an integral part of using and enhancing our internal planning system, Anaplan; to overall improve efficiency on the planning team.</li> </ul> What are we looking for? <ul> <li>BA/BS or equivalent, preferably with quantitative focus</li> <li>4+ years in an analytical role like inventory planning, supply chain management, logistics or allocation</li> <li>Exceptional analytical capabilities and quick decision-making skills</li> <li>Strategic mindset, you are comfortable working with numbers, and you are detail oriented when it comes to tactical execution</li> <li>Excellent communication skills, adept at grasping new concepts and collaborating across teams</li> <li>Expert in Microsoft Office/GSuite with experience</li> <li>Proficient in Excel with advanced modeling skills; experience in retail planning a plus</li> </ul> <h4>Work Environment</h4> Work takes place in a remote setting in PST time zone. This job may require working more than 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours a week. It requires the ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time and communicate effectively with a diverse audience in person, by phone and by computer. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift, push, and carry up to 10 lbs frequently and up to 15 lbs occasionally.     Qualifier Questions: <ul> <li>Are you able to travel to San Francisco for occasional in-office meetings? Remote: The pay range for this role is: $90 - $100K and must be able to travel to San Francisco, CA for an occasional (1-2x per quarter) in-office week.  Allbirds routinely evaluates pay rates, and the ranges are subject to change based on market rates and other considerations.  We factor in a number of components when determining starting pay, including the job and level you are hired into, location, skillset, experience and peer compensation.
