This hybrid role requires a unique blend of technical expertise in satellite communications systems and the ability to produce high-quality documentation for internal and external stakeholders. You will be instrumental in writing and maintaining SATCOM sub-systems specifications, while also translating complex engineering concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation. <ul><li>Understand the overall system architecture and functionality, specifically the end-to-end system design and interfaces </li></ul><ul><li>Work with product managers, product marketing, and engineers to produce and maintain world-class customer documentation, including: User Manuals, Integration Guides, Installation Manuals, on platform documentation (tooltips, welcome instructions, etc.). </li></ul><ul><li>Create and maintain technical documentation including system specifications, interface control documents (ICDs), test procedures, and white papers. </li></ul><ul><li>Translate engineering concepts into accessible content for technical and non-technical audiences. </li></ul><ul><li>Gather customer feedback on documentation to improve usability, and communicate that feedback to engineering. </li></ul><ul><li>Work closely with engineers to capture design intent, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides. </li></ul><ul><li>Manage version control and ensure documentation is up-to-date and aligned with system changes. </li></ul><ul><li>Create Requirements documents for new functions and features </li></ul><ul> <li>Create CONOPS (concept of operations) documents that explain and illustrate new functionality and its integration within the overall system </li> <li>Publish, arrange the review of, and gain agreement on system requirements documents and CONOPS, receiving input from and achieving alignment with cross-functional stakeholders as relevant. </li> <li>Identify any regulations or standards needed for regulatory, compliance or certification purposes: </li> <li>Analyse applicability to the system, captured in a compliance matrix </li> <li>Ensure that any necessary work is captured in requirements, creating any new requirements as needed. </li> <li>Support Service Delivery, for instance in the training of support staff on the new features </li> </ul><ul><li>Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PH.D. degree in Engineering or a closely related technical field. </li></ul><ul> <li>3-4+ years of experience in RF System design, preferably in satellite ground terminals or SATCOM systems. </li> <li>Fundamental knowledge of Satellite Communications, constellations, modems, and related technologies </li> <li>Hands-on experience across Software, Hardware, Mechanical, and Thermal aspects, with the ability to define specifications in any of these areas. </li> <li>Familiarity in test management, including planning, specifying, running and gathering evidence of test results </li> <li>Experience in regulatory certification and approval processes involving third-party organizations </li> <li>Experience with Jira and Confluence platforms. </li> <li>Desirable basic knowledge of phased array antennas. </li> <li>Familiarity of System engineering practices such as the V-model. </li> </ul><ul><li>Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a cross-functional and diverse team environment. </li></ul><ul><li>Team-player, can-do attitude, and ability to work well in a group environment, while still contributing on an individual basis. </li></ul><ul><li>Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and driven to take on challenges and continuously learn new skills.
