They work within the overall system architecture, translating product intent into detailed functionality through requirements, functional descriptions, concepts of operation, and system modelling as appropriate.<h3>ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES </h3><ul> <li>Understand the overall system architecture and functionality:</li> <li>Understand the end-to-end system design and interfaces</li> <li>Analyse and improve any existing system documentation</li> <li>Collaborate effectively with relevant internal and external stakeholders.</li> <li>Create Requirements documents for new functions and features</li> <li>Understand the Product Requirements and derive the lower-level Requirements </li> <li>Identify and reference any existing related System Requirements and subsystem specifications.</li> <li>Scope the detailed definition of the new feature via:</li> <li>Internal and external documentation searches</li> <li>Consulting relevant stakeholders and experts</li> <li>Applying structured methods to define and validate user requirements</li> <li>Generating models and running simulations as appropriate</li> <li>Create CONOPS (concept of operations) documents that explain and illustrate new functionality and its integration within the overall system</li> <li>Publish, arrange the review of, and gain agreement on system requirements and CONOPS, receiving input from and achieving alignment with cross-functional stakeholders as relevant.</li> <li>Identify any regulations or standards needed for regulatory, compliance or certification purposes:</li> <li>List relevant regulatory and industry standards</li> <li>Analyse applicability to the system, and efficient means to meet them, captured in a compliance matrix</li> <li>Ensure that any necessary work is captured in requirements, creating any new requirements as needed.</li> <li>Advise the System Integration and System Testing teams on testing scenarios and criteria</li> <li>Implement requirements to testing traceability, mapping requirements to test cases</li> <li>Provide support to the wider engineering team in their design, implementation and testing of specified features</li> <li>Support Service Delivery, for instance in the training of support staff on the new features</li> </ul><ul> <li>Candidate must hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PH.D. degree in Engineering or a closely related technical field.</li> <li>Fundamental knowledge of Satellite Communications, constellations, modems, and related technologies</li> <li>Strong technical understanding of telecommunications systems, with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex issues across RF, digital, and signal integrity domains. </li> <li>Hands-on experience across Software, Hardware, Mechanical, and Thermal aspects, with the ability to define specifications in any of these areas.</li> <li>Familiarity in test management, including planning, specifying, running and gathering evidence of test results</li> <li>Experience in regulatory certification and approval processes involving third-party organizations</li> <li>Experience with Jira and Confluence platforms is desirable.</li> <li>Desirable knowledge of phased array antennas and antenna tracking systems</li> <li>Desirable knowledge of System engineering practices such as the V-model.</li> <li>Familiarity with communication protocols and web-based interfaces relevant to system integration is a plus.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a cross-functional and diverse team environment.</li> <li>Team-player, can-do attitude, and ability to work well in a group environment, while still contributing on an individual basis.</li> <li>Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and driven to take on challenges and continuously learn new skills.
