The Learning and Development Specialist plays a key role in enhancing employee skills, knowledge, and per-formance by designing, developing, and facilitating high-impact learning programs. This role focuses on build-ing engaging and effective learning experiences through instructional design, content development, and live facilitation. The ideal candidate is a dynamic trainer and curriculum developer who is passionate about foster-ing a culture of continuous learning and growth across the organization.

  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging learning content using instructional design best practices for in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats.
  • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and programs that support employee development, onboarding, leadership, and technical skill-building.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and HR partners to assess learning needs and create targeted training solutions.
  • Develop interactive learning materials including presentations, e-learning modules, workbooks, guides, and job aids.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance data to continuously improve program quality.
  • Manage and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring content is current, accessible, and engaging.
  • Support the implementation of company-wide development initiatives such as onboarding, compliance training, and leadership development.
  • Stay current on trends in adult learning theory, instructional design, and facilitation techniques.
  • Contribute to fostering a culture of learning and professional development throughout the organization.

Experience:

• Required: Minimum 3 years

Education:

  • Preferred Bachelors degree in Education, Human Resources, Instructional Design, or related field. Four years of additional experience in lieu of education.

Specialized Skills:

  • Proven experience in instructional design and training facilitation.
  • Strong platform skills with the ability to engage and inspire learners in both virtual and in-person environments.
  • Proficiency in e-learning development tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Canva) and LMS platforms.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and curriculum design methodologies.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience measuring learning effectiveness and applying data to improve content.
  • Certification in instructional design, learning & development, or facilitation (e.g., ATD, CPLP, CPTD) is a plus.

Pay Range: $64,384.00 - $96,577.00
