The Mo team is on a mission to redefine the future of care by building Mo, your health companion. Mo is an intelligent, empathetic, multimodal LLM-based conversational AI assistant able to prescribe, triage, and proactively follow up on care.

Examples of what youd work on:
đ Design & scale our multi-agent system â Youll help build the backbone that coordinates medical reasoning, empathetic conversation, and context-aware actions, across multiple modalities (chat, voice, documents).
đ±Build snappy, delightful, rich experiences - Youll work on Mos product stack, that we built as a first-class messaging platform, with rich mini-app experiences and deep interactions with the rest of the Alan app.
đ€ Make Mo inviting, memorable & proactive â We want Mo to be more than a health expert, and a true companion. Youll help design agents that adapt their behaviour and character to the members, that keep memory, that develop EQ on top of IQ.
đŁ Ship voice-first healthcare experiences â From local Voice Activity Detection to voice out + transcription, youâll be crafting the most natural interface to care.
đ Build real medical reasoning models â Weâre training internal models that simulate doctorsâ decision-making. Youâll get to work on our in-house âaction modelâ and safety evaluation stack.
đ§© Integrate with real-world clinical flows â Youâll work on intelligent redirections, note generation, EMR read/write, and even pre-triage logic with human review in the loop.

In our engineering team, we build the infrastructure, interfaces, and applications to provide first-class service to our members, health professionals, and even ourselves!
Being an engineer at Alan means joining a team of talented, committed and passionate engineers, with a lot of product interaction.
We move fast, with a lot of ownership, and are proud to tackle big problems!
Our process is very simple: those who make product decisions are the same ones who build them.
Our stack is Python/FastAPI, React, React Native, PostgreSQL.

We are looking for problem-solver engineers with 3+ years of experience who get excited about shipping impactful products, fast, in complex environments:
Youâll be able to tackle high-impact & high-risk projects that will directly be deployed at scale to our members.
Youâll be working at the frontier of applications of AI in health, in a multi-disciplinary team with doctors, designers, engineers, research scientists.
Youâll be contributing to the roadmap and our strategy,directly involved in discussions about what we build and how.
Youâll have the opportunity to mentor other engineers & lead crews (more details in this article).
Youâll be able to contribute to hiring your future coworkers and shape candidatesâ hiring experience (improving our technical assessment process etc...)
You would be a good fit at Alan if most of this sounds like you:
Well-versed in Object Oriented Programming such as Python, Java, C#, and enthusiastic about web technologies such as modern Javascript.
Willing to work in Python/FastAPI/ReactNative (but you donât need to have experience with those 2 languages!).
Passionate about building products.
Self-starting and entrepreneurial.
Humble and still willing to grow (no matter your seniority!).
Collaborative, enthusiastic about teamwork, learning, and teaching.
Fluent in English (no need to speak French!).
For this opportunity, we are aiming to hire within the D-F level range.
