As a Staff Software Engineer on our team, youll architect and implement security solutions that protect millions of users while empowering thousands of developers. Youll be at the forefront of creating a security-first engineering culture, building tools and frameworks that make secure development the path of least resistance. A Typical Day:  Here are a few things you’ll do in this role: <ul> <li>Lead the design and implementation of scalable, reusable cloud infrastructure solutions, applying security best practices and staff-level leadership.</li> <li>Drive technical innovation in infrastructure by developing new standards, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and secure-by-design principles.</li> <li>Provide input and influence architectural decisions to ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of major product features and platform services within cloud environments.</li> <li>Lead, design and implement software (this is a hands-on role!)</li> <li>Collaborate with product and cloud infrastructure engineers to build performant, developer-friendly infrastructure, integrating security into developer tools, libraries, and frameworks.</li> <li>Guide secure development strategies, tooling, and product-specific features with engineering teams, ensuring infrastructure is resilient against a wide range of security issues.</li> <li>Architect and build robust automation frameworks to validate deployed infrastructure and software against security and reliability requirements.</li> </ul> Your Expertise: The following are some examples of profiles that are relevant to us. We are looking to build a team of both specialists in security and generalists in software engineering. <ul> <li>9+ years of software development in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, Kotlin, Golang, Python, JavaScript</li> <li>Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure systems software</li> <li>In-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and best practices for securing cloud environments</li> <li>Strong understanding of infrastructure security, including network security, identity and access management in cloud environments.</li> <li>Thorough understanding of secure development methodologies and best practices</li> <li>Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams</li> <li>Experience building secure-by-default libraries or frameworks</li> <li>Experience building developer tools and infrastructure is a plus</li> </ul> Your Location: This position is US - Remote Eligible.
