AHEAD is searching for an Onboarding Engineer to be a part of our Managed Services team. Candidates are eager to learn, customer focused, an effective communicator, self-initiating and can perform most tasks without direct oversight.
Responsibilities
- Configure infrastructure in the client environment to be added into monitoring including Network, Server, Storage, Backup, Data Protection, Hyperconverged, ESXi, and other infrastructure.
- Create client technical documentation.
- Communicate the status of the onboarding project tasks.
- Ensure that clients’ infrastructure is healthy, stable, documented, and configured with accepted technical best practices.
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert and as an escalation point on complex monitoring issues for the Managed Services team.
Qualifications/ Technology Experience:
- Minimum of 5+ years of related experience in supporting Windows / Linux in an enterprise environment.
- Experience with Windows, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and certificates.
- Linux OS configuration and troubleshooting preferred.
- A college degree or equivalent in Information Systems or related field. Unique education, specialized experience, skills, knowledge, training, or certification may be substituted for education.
- Managed Services or Consulting experience is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain collaborative and positive working relationships at all levels.
- Skilled in achieving results in a customer centric environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with performance monitoring tools – Elastic, LogicMonitor, SolarWinds, etc.
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of business via phone, written communication, and in person.
- Team collaboration, responsiveness, ability to multi-task.
- Strong sense of urgency, ability to set priorities and perform the job with little guidance.

The compensation range indicated in this posting reflects the On-Target Earnings (“OTE”) for this role, which includes a base salary and any applicable target bonus amount. This OTE range may vary based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
