What youll do: <ul> <li>Lead operational due diligence workstreams for potential acquisitions, including analysis of target company financials, business models, and operational metrics; collaborate on financial, legal, and other diligence work streams</li> <li>Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to evaluate strategic fit of potential targets</li> <li>Prepare materials, including deal rationale, valuation analysis, and risk assessments</li> <li>Coordinate cross-functional due diligence teams including legal, tax, technology, product, and HR</li> <li>Support deal negotiations by providing analytical insights and maintaining deal documentation</li> <li>Manage data rooms, information requests, and diligence trackers throughout the transaction process</li> <li>Support post-merger integration planning by developing synergy models and integration roadmaps</li> <li>Track and report on integration milestones and synergy realization</li> </ul> Corporate Strategy &amp; Strategic Planning <ul> <li>Support development of AffiniPays annual strategic planning process and long-term growth roadmap</li> <li>Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decisions</li> <li>Assit in in leading strategic initiative deep-dives on new market opportunities, pricing strategy, or product expansion</li> <li>Partner with Product and GTM teams on build vs. buy vs. partner analyses</li> <li>Develop business cases for strategic investments and new initiatives</li> <li>Help support executive offsites and board materials with strategic analyses and recommendations</li> <li>Help translate strategic priorities into actionable initiatives with clear success metrics</li> <li>Help conduct quarterly strategy reviews and track progress against strategic objectives</li> </ul> Cross-functional Collaboration <ul> <li>Work closely with Finance, Product, Engineering, and GTM teams to evaluate strategic opportunities</li> <li>Support executive leadership with ad-hoc strategic analyses and special projects</li> <li>Communicate deal progress and strategic insights to stakeholders through clear, executive-ready presentations</li> <li>Build relationships with external advisors, investment banks, and industry contacts</li> </ul> About you: <ul> <li>Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field</li> <li>2-4 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or corporate development</li> <li>Strong financial modeling and valuation skills with proficiency in Excel</li> <li>Experience conducting due diligence and managing deal processes</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to structure and solve ambiguous business problems</li> <li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail</li> <li>Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with ability to distill complex analyses</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Self-starter mentality with ability to work independently and drive projects forward</li> <li>Experience with financial analysis tools and data rooms (e.g., Datasite, Box)</li> <li>Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve workflows, enhance decision-making, or drive innovation.</li> </ul> Why 8am  At 8am, our culture is shaped by the people who bring it to life every day.
