Join us and let’s get started.<h3>Job Description</h3>The Senior Freight Rail Project Manager - Civil/Track Design is a key position that will be based in Omaha, Nebraska and will report into the US West Region Rail Group. This person will have the opportunity to work on a diverse set of exciting freight rail design projects with the AECOM rail group with a focus on supporting and growing our Class I, short line and industrial clients. The AECOM office provides upward mobility, opportunities for growth and leadership.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Serve as an AECOM senior project manager on rail projects from planning, preliminary engineering, and final design.</li><li>Accountable for developing project scope, budget and schedule and lead client contract negotiations.</li><li>Coordinate, cooperate, and work collaboratively with others team members as well as support business development.</li><li>Provide leadership and mentorship to subordinate managers and technical engineering staff.</li><li>Performance at this level requires experience in a professional position and demonstrated experience with the types of tasks that will be required.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>BA/BS + ten (10) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education</li></ul>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field</li><li>Professional Engineering license in Nebraska (or ability to obtain)</li><li>8 years of relevant experience in rail design, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.</li><li>Proficient with OpenRoads/OpenRail or other BIM Software (AutoCAD/Civil 3D/GeoPak)</li><li>Ability to collaborate and coordinate with design teams consisting of multi-discipline design engineers and technicians</li><li>Be detail-oriented</li><li>Excellent communication and writing skill</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Travel may be required for this position.</li><li>Due to nature of the involved project U.S. work- sponsorship is not available with this opportunity.</li><li>Offered rate of compensation (Omaha, Neb.) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
