You and your team will be responsible for the execution of the Security engineering roadmap and vision. All Adyen engineers will use the frameworks your team builds and maintains: a great opportunity to make an impact on the Adyen platform. What Youll Do <ul> <li>Collaborate across teams and time zones to get projects over the finish line.</li> <li>Lead complex technical projects from requirements analysis through design, implementation, testing and launching into production.</li> <li>Be a builder and advisor; contribute to the implementation of our engineering solutions and offer technical guidance/mentorship to other engineers.</li> <li>Identify and improve parts of our platform to make it more robust and scalable.</li> <li>Build engineering features and solutions with scalability and availability at the forefront.</li> <li>We launch fast and iterate often. Within your first few weeks, you will bring live functionalities that impact many merchants and shoppers.</li> </ul> Who You Are <ul> <li>You have between 3-8 years of professional experience as an engineer and are currently working as a Software Engineer or at a similar level, with strong, object-oriented design and coding skills in Java.</li> <li>You have a demonstrable passion for security. Experience in security engineering (e.g. the building of input validation frameworks; file upload frameworks; rate limiting standards) is preferred.</li> <li>You have a strong sense of ownership, helping you move projects forward independently and make a meaningful impact.</li> <li>You have great communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in front of different stakeholders.</li> <li>You are familiar with complex and large scale distributed systems.</li> <li>You are flexible, a team player and someone with an eye for detail.</li> <li>You are experienced in leading technical projects in a fast paced environment.</li> <li>Open to some domestic and international travel.</li> </ul> Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion commitments  Our unique approach is a product of our diverse perspectives. This role is based out of our Chicago office. We are an office-first company and value in-person collaboration; we do not offer remote-only roles.
