The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The person hired for the position of Government Transportation Safety Sales Specialist will be responsible for meeting sales objectives by providing sales coverage in Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming.

As a Government Transportation Safety Sales Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

Achieving Sales Goals and Objectives in the assigned territory.
Focusing on the enhancement of transportation safety specifications across various government levels including the State Department of Transportation, Cities and Counties.
Calling on customers within assigned area or accounts
Participate in and sell at trade shows and conferences.
Develop and implement effective sales plans.
Prepare administrative reports and presentations.
Occasional nighttime work in construction work zones.
Influencing decision-makers and stakeholders in upgrading their sheeting and pavement marking specifications.

Company Vehicle

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
Five (5) years of sales experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Current, valid Driver’s License.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

Master’s degree in Business Administration from an accredited institution.
Experience in sales to government agencies or departments of transportation.
Territory account management experience is preferred.
Expert consultative selling skills in establishing specifications and standards.
Strong understanding of public sector sales processes.
Excellent computer skills, planning and organizational skills.

Work Location: Denver, Colorado

Sales Territory: Colorado, Mexico, Wyoming

Travel: May include up to 40% travel domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $113,752 - $139,031, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
