In this role, you will make an impact by driving successful new product introductions (NPI) and commercialization initiatives across cross-functional teams.Your Impact<ul><li>Leading teams for Product Development and Commercialization Leverage your expertise in project management tools and techniques to lead multiple cross-functional NPI teams from concept through launch using 3Ms NPI framework—defining scope, milestones, and deliverables while ensuring on-time, high-quality results that meet customer needs.</li><li>Building High-Performing Teams Build, motivate, and guide high-performing teams through clear direction, empowerment, and accountability. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, performance, and continuous improvement</li><li>Maintaining Close Stakeholder Alignment and Engagement Develop and execute communication and risk management plans that ensure visibility, transparency, and proactive alignment across cross-functional stakeholders, including business/marketing, laboratory, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and supply chain.</li><li>Building Networks and Leveraging Global Resources Cultivate strong partnerships and networks within ASD, across 3M, and with external suppliers and customers to accelerate delivery of differentiated solutions to the market.</li><li>Mentoring and Developing Others Serve as a mentor and coach to team members and peers—sharing best practices in project leadership, NPI processes, and cross-functional collaboration. Champion project management excellence through training and knowledge sharing.</li></ul>Your Skills and Expertise  To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).</li><li>Eight (8) years of manufacturing, product engineering, and/or product development experience in a private, public, government or military environment.</li><li>Three (3) years of experience in project leadership.</li></ul>Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:<ul><li>Advanced degree in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited institution</li><li>Three (3) years of project management and/or PMP Certification</li><li>Experience with Agile/Scrum project management methodologies</li><li>Knowledge of the 3M Grow NPI framework and software</li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills</li><li>Knowledge of six sigma methodologies and tools</li><li>Experience leading teams and systems for continuous improvement</li></ul>Work location: On-site, 4-days a week<ul><li>Maplewood, MN</li><li>Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Maplewood, MN at least 4 days per week</li></ul>Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international travelRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being 3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
