Here, you will make an impact by:<ul><li>Partnering with/providing oversight to global manufacturing sites to drive Operational Quality Excellence: Working to identify, address sources of risk and variability, standardize work, and error proof operations.</li><li>Leading and providing support to global teams on the resolution of quality issues including product recalls, complaints, nonconforming materials, while monitoring and addressing root causes.</li><li>Quality support for New Product Introductions and change management process for source of supply and/or manufacturing operational changes to ensure robust product quality, test method development/implementation, qualifications, design reviews, and risk mitigation.</li><li>Driving Supplier Quality improvement through the execution of governance plans based on risk.</li><li>Championing a culture of continuous improvement to drive customer satisfaction and achieve business and plant objectives.</li></ul>Your Skills and Expertise   To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)</li><li>Five (5) years combined quality engineering and/or manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment</li><li>Two (2) years of experience working in a regulated environment along with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems experience.</li></ul>Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:<ul><li>Master’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited institution</li><li>Minimum five (5) years of experience in a quality or engineering role supporting hard goods and/or assembly operations</li><li>Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Demonstrated leadership skills</li><li>Experience with championing and/or deploying quality continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. LSS, QFD, PPU, Qualifications)</li></ul>Work location: <ul><li>Red Wing Minnesota</li></ul>Travel: May include up to 15% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
