As our Training Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our sales team by supporting our in-person training events at 3M Headquarters, ensuring a best-in-class experience for our internal and external audience. The training team will rely on your key skills to plan and execute our training events to uphold the quality and experience we thrive on.

The Training Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing a high volume of in-person training events, including evening sessions, for the Safety & Industrial Business Group (SIBG). This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The Training Coordinator will work closely with trainers, participants, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of training programs.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Education, Business Administration, Human Resources (completed and verified prior to start)

  • Five (5) years of event planning, program coordination and/or administrative experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Proven experience in coordinating training events or similar roles

  • Experience in a corporate training environment.

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills

  • Certification in Cvent

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic travel

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Work location:

  • Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Maplewood, MN at least 3 days per week).

  • This position may require travel to various training locations.

  • Evening work may be necessary to accommodate training schedules

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $96,557 - $118,014, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
