Developing and driving division marketing strategies and sales growth, along with gaining shelf conversions while aligning to end user opportunities, are keys to success. As a 3M Regional Distribution Sales Representative for the Electrical Markets Division, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:<ul><li>Grow 3M business with key distribution partners in assigned geography</li><li>Deliver the 3M EMD Brand Promise to distribution</li><li>Use analytic and category management skills to Identify, influence, and manage new sales and conversion opportunities in the Channel</li><li>Report and manage product stock levels and new product stock suggestions to generate orders</li><li>Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with key accounts/executives</li><li>Identify and develop marketing and promotional activities</li><li>Build relationships with new and existing stakeholders to increase sales</li><li>Communicate, present, and sell local and national promotions to multiple stakeholders</li><li>Coordinate and implement events, training, and merchandising sales plans</li><li>Manage contracts and RFQ’s</li><li>Conduct multiple weekly Authorized Distributor branch visits</li><li>Training distributor counter and sales personnel</li><li>Works in a team of Commercial &amp; Industrial sales professionals and partner 3M divisions</li></ul>Company VehicleThis position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this positionYour Skills and Expertise  To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelors degree from an accredited institution and two (2) years of sales experience in a private, public, government or military environment. </li></ul>OR<ul><li>High school diploma/ GED and five (5) years of sales experience in the electrical, construction or industrial market experience in a private, public, government or military environment. </li></ul>​AND<ul><li>Current, valid Driver’s License. </li></ul>Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:<ul><li>Minimum two (2) years of experience in sales or marketing</li><li>Minimum four (4) years of distribution sales/marketing and/or management experience</li><li>Experience with analytics, fact-based selling, category management</li><li>Demonstrated experience communicating cross functionally and to all levels in an organization.</li><li>Skilled as proficient at prioritizing and managing many projects simultaneously.</li><li>Aptitude to understand multiple product lines</li><li>Management of multiple segments and marketing channels within distribution</li><li>Solid negotiating and selling skills</li><li>Previous experience calling on strategic accounts or influencing/building account support base.  Proficient business acumen to include working with pricing, customer total profitability, and financial impact of business decision on distribution</li></ul>Location: <ul><li>Located within Sales Territory (Southern California- preferably the Los Angeles Region.</li><li>Sales Territory: Southern California </li></ul>Travel: Includes 50% overnight travelRelocation: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in a country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being 3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
