As the Global Digital Foundation Leader, you will play a pivotal role in building and scaling the digital backbone of our organization, leading the creation of data-driven platforms, AI/GenAI solutions, and analytic capabilities that power smarter business decisions. Lead a high-performing team of Managers and technical experts (data engineers, developers, and architects) to deliver digital solutions that accelerate business growth.<ul><li>Own and scale our digital foundation, including data mesh architecture, analytic clouds, and digital products, ensuring integration across GMC, CBG, and functional teams.</li><li>Drive end-to-end digital delivery, using Agile and Scrum@Scale methodologies, DevOps practices, and enterprise code standards to achieve speed-to-value.</li><li>Operationalize AI/GenAI and advanced analytics, transforming data (POS, inventory, SAP ERP) into actionable insights and automation opportunities.</li><li>Manage digital operations budgets (FinOps for cloud, SaaS licensing, and vendors) while ensuring optimal ROI and tracking business-relevant KPIs.</li><li>Collaborate with internal IT, marketing, supply chain, and commercial teams to drive adoption of cutting-edge digital capabilities that create measurable business impact.</li><li>Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, optimizing operational excellence and scaling platforms to meet evolving business demand.</li></ul>Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Computer Science or Engineering (completed and verified prior to start)</li><li>Ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience in digital delivery, analytics, or technology-driven business transformation in a private, public, government or military environment </li><li>Five (5) years managing digital teams, including direct oversight of managers and technical professionals.</li></ul>Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:<ul><li>Proven success building enterprise-scale digital products, data platforms, and AI/ML solutions, ideally in CPG, retail, or related industries.</li><li>Expertise in data mesh architectures, SAP ERP, analytic platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Azure, AAS), and marketing technologies.</li><li>Strong track record in FinOps, budget management, and vendor negotiations.</li><li>Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and change management skills, with a focus on delivering business outcomes.</li><li>Familiarity with Scrum@Scale, DevOps, and secure digital operations.</li></ul>Work location:3M Global Headquarters in St. Paul, MN ( 4 days in office)Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international Relocation Assistance: Not authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being 3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
