- Leading and supporting projects that have high impact on business results.
- Conduct control plans and monitoring appropriate metrics to validate project results are achieved, track improvements, control and sustain gains.
- Lead projects to connect with different stakeholders in the company looking for enhancing processes to impact positively on division results.
- Influence the organization cross-functionally and leading management of change activities.
- •Consistently seeking, sharing, and implementing best practices to accelerate business results and improve effiency.
- Teaching, mentoring and coaching team members to optimize business models or processes.
- Looking for applicability of tools and methods to areas outside of current focus.
- Promote and build continuous improvement culture through regular communication, coaching, training and business support.
- Ensure successful continuous improvement events by installing and ensuring compliance to the enhancement process: Planning of kaizens with dynamic funnel process, tied to business plan and daily management, kaizen execution including charters, pre-work, events and report outs; Sustainment of kaizens.
- Continued focus on developing personal capability by achieving champion status on minimum of one tool.
The person hired for the position of Continuous Improvement Leader, will use tools and methodologies to enhance our main KPIs related to business and financial performance by systematically responding to customer needs, enhance service level, improving portfolio mix, growing market share and impacting pricing and gross margin performance. This leader will oversee operational excellence, generating appropriate visibility of business projects working with divisional team and other support areas.
This leader has a clear understanding of connection between process, execution, improvement approach and operational improvements and drivers to financial measures (Revenue, Cost, Cash and Growth). Responsible for both Project and Actual vs Baseline improvements.
Your Skills and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Ten (10) years of experience in business P&L, commercialization, project improvements and/or service performance management in a private, public, industrial, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Must be able to facilitate large and small groups in the achievement of a desired outcome. Must be able to handle situations that require strong problem solving to map a path forward when the situation is complex or when group is stuck and unable to make progress.
- Ability to improve processes in a workplace involving data, leading project teams and drive improvements across the organization.
- Prior experience leading methodology for continuous improvement emphasizing teamwork involvement.
- Demonstrated experience as a confident and accountable leader.
- Demonstration of Cultural Elements
- Must be able to lead a team from multiple disciplines, as well as functions to achieve the desired outcome.
- Ability to coach and influence others to action on key initiatives.
Work location:
- Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Maplewood, MN at least 4 days per week)
Travel: May include up to 30% domestic/international
