Here, you will make an impact by:</div></div></div></div>The Americas Key Account Manager for the Energy Vertical is responsible for driving sales, promoting 3M products, and developing a robust opportunity pipeline with market including key accounts in energy companies across the USA, Canada, Mexico, and Latin America. The focus will be on 3Ms sand control and Electric Submersible Pumps (ESPs) solutions used in the Oil and Gas industry. This role requires strong collaboration with commercial, application engineering, and portfolio teams to ensure sales growth with identified accounts. Sales consolidation and demand forecasting from the area’s commercial teams will be a requirement of the role.<ul><li>Understand key account customer’s entire supply chain and collaborate with Tier suppliers</li><li>Define and execute strategic direction aligned to corporate and portfolio business goals</li><li>Build and maintain a strong opportunity pipeline through long-term relationships with the market to meet sales targets.</li><li>Strong ability in interpreting customer needs related to upstream oil and gas applications, reservoir characteristics, and production challenges, to support R&amp;D and application engineering teams</li><li>Communicate the technical aspects and value proposition of sand control solutions effectively to customers</li><li>Proven ability demonstrating and executing the sales cycle</li><li>Support key accounts in well-on-paper discussions alongside the application engineering team</li><li>Report key account challenges, technology gaps, and market insights to support portfolio strategies and new product development</li><li>Provide support for contract negotiations to Area commercial team</li></ul>The Americas key account manager will report directly to the global key account Leader.Your Skills and Expertise  To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree of higher (completed and verified prior to start)</li><li>Five (5) years of experience in upstream oil and gas, with demonstrated expertise in well completions and/or sand control operations in a private, public, government or military environment</li></ul>Additional qualifications that could help you succeed further in this role include:<ul><li>Multilingual – English with Spanish and or Portuguese</li><li>Experience in creating annual account growth plans &amp; working with Salesforce</li><li>Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions</li><li>Strong understanding of sand control technologies, well completion processes, and the oil and gas industry</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills</li><li>Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills</li><li>Experience in working with cross-functional teams and global teams</li><li>Experience in key account management</li><li>Experience in working with government or semi-government agencies</li><li>Familiar with CCUS, underground Hydrogen storage, Geothermal applications</li><li>Ability to travel to LATAM</li></ul>This role is pivotal in driving 3Ms growth in the energy sector by leveraging technical expertise and strategic account management skills.Work location:<ul><li>Remote</li></ul>Travel: May include up to 20% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: Not authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being 3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
