In this role you will build and develop the technical and communication skillsets of your team through training, collaboration and mentorship; you will formalize processes to bolster individual development and foster a culture of innovation.   <h3>What Youll Do</h3> <ul> <li>Manage performance for around 10 engineers, including leads, and be a strong partner with each on their growth objectives</li> <li>Collaborate with directors and above to align team growth strategy to business needs</li> <li>Collaborate with technical directors to define and drive adoption of engineering standards and what good looks like</li> <li>Establish and maintain studio processes around code reviews, positive feedback loops and professional development initiatives  </li> <li>Grow other leaders for the team, both people managers and individual contributors  </li> <li>Create and cultivating an environment of continuous learning and development, collaborating with other studio leads to provide practical opportunities to explore new technology</li> <li>Keep code skills sharp and stay abreast of evolving tech in the gaming industry</li> </ul>   <h3>Required Experience and Skills</h3> <ul> <li>Strong experience building, leading, and growing teams</li> <li>Excellent programming skills in C++/C#, knowledgeable in scripting languages</li> <li>Expert experience with software and game development pipelines</li> <li>Ability to communicate with customers of different technical and non-technical backgrounds to help them navigate the technology and achieve their goals  </li> <li>Champion team needs and methodologies, lead improvements on behalf of the group</li> <li>Passionate video game enthusiast</li> <li>10+ years developing and publishing console games</li> </ul>   Bonus Qualifications <ul> <li>Strong engine experience (Unreal, Unity, or custom engines)</li> <li>Scripting languages (Lua, Perl, Python)</li> <li>Working experience in multiplayer gaming</li> <li>Source control experience (GitHub, Perforce, SVN)</li> <li>Familiarity with AI, data manipulation, file systems, networking, streaming</li> </ul>   As an equal opportunity employer, we are committed to ensuring that qualified individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform their essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan and Employee Stock Purchase Program.
