You will improve our internal developer platform to reduce your teammates’ cognitive load and enable them to focus on solving business problems. The DORA (DevOps Research and Assessment) metrics are KPIs to measure your success.Technologies we work with include:<ul><li>Google Cloud Platform (CloudRun, CloudSQL, etc.)</li><li>Terraform / Terramate</li><li>Datadog, OpenTelemetry</li><li>GitHub Actions</li><li>Backstage</li><li>Python / GoLang / TypeScript</li></ul>Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:<ul><li>Enabling developer self-service by developing reusable, opinionated IaC modules</li><li>Develop software and establish systems to effectively handle the platforms infrastructure and applications</li><li>Offer infrastructure expertise for our engineering teams</li><li>Ensure good developer experience/productivity</li><li>Improve DORA (DevOps Research and Assessment) metrics</li></ul><ul><li>3+ years of experience in a Platform Engineering (DevOps), Site Reliability, or comparable Cloud Engineering position</li><li>Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, with a focus on Terraform</li><li>Experience working with a public cloud provider, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and a solid understanding of its core services and offerings</li><li>Understanding and hands-on experience with container-based infrastructure (Docker, Google Cloud Run, Kubernetes or AWS Fargate)</li><li>Ability to code with one or more high-level languages, such as Python, GoLang or TypeScript</li><li>A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks</li><li>Strong customer-centric mindset with a deep understanding of the importance of enabling exceptional developer experiences</li><li>An open mindset, keen to continuously improve themself and the team, by proactively seeking and giving feedback</li><li>Very good knowledge of spoken and written English, German is a plus</li><li>Residency in Germany</li><li>Interest in climate tech industry</li></ul>Bonus points for:<ul><li>Prior experience with IoT applications</li><li>Having worked in a scale up environment at a company of similar size</li></ul>We encourage candidates to apply even if they do not meet all the requirements, as we are seeking individuals at various seniority levels who can bring diverse perspectives and skills to our team.
