Role Summary

Contributes to key parts of the UX design process, specifically, analysis, ideation, prototyping, and user acceptance testing. Develops design artifacts, user personas, and contextual research following best practices with some guidance from senior UX designers. Partners with users, subject matter experts, and business analysts to capture feedback and requirements for workflow to achieve results. Conducts usability studies and can use results to influence own work. Participates in collaborative sessions for UX design, demonstrations, and feature assessment. Creates effective information architecture to map users’ goals to workflow

Responsibilities:

  • Applies basic understanding of the financial services and asset management industries 
  • Connects ones own work with the strategy of their team and/or department
  • Can effectively engage in business-led conversations, providing expertise on related methodologies
  • Applies user research findings
  • Uses questions and proposals to clarify requirements when unclear
  • Demonstrates strong logic and reasoning capabilities through thorough requirement building and aligned solutioning
  • Delivers results aligned to business requirements and anticipated outcomes
  • Demonstrates understanding of relevant tool and methodologies
  • Articulates all phases of the software development life cycle.
  • Knows of relevant and modern software methodologies (e.g., Agile, XP, Scrum)
  • Actively seeks feedback and guidance to improve technical skills (e.g., through submitting work for design review)
  • Demonstrates competence in one or more UX design methodologies (e.g., Interaction Design)
  • Capable of building wireframes and mock-ups, user journey maps, etc.
  • Fluent in tools and techniques to produce wireframes and mock-ups (e.g.Figma)
  • Able to generate user flows, information architecture, and product design specifications
  • May collaborate with development partners and guided by senior UX colleagues

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
  • 2+ years of total relevant work experience

Preferred:

  • Experience in Financial Services industry
  • Technical proficiency with Figma (or Sketch), FigJam, Miro/Mural, and Zoom.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with Agile development processes and workflows

FINRA Requirements
FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to three days per week from home.

Base salary ranges:

$91,500.00 - $156,500.00 for the location of: California, New York
$81,000.00 - $138,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C
$73,000.00 - $125,000.00 for the location of: Colorado, Maryland, Washington and all other US locations

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the roleBase salary is only one component of our total compensation packageEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
