Our Risk organization consists of 4 pillars: Compliance, Credit &amp; Financial Risk, Enterprise Risk and Operational Risk. Each of the pillars plays a vital role in managing Risk and supports the business in anticipating and addressing risks, issues, and challenge. This role is aligned to the Enterprise Risk Analytics team supporting analytics requests from Compliance, Enterprise Risk, and Operational Risk. It requires a high level of expertise with data &amp; analytics and minimal technical supervision to effectively contribute to the team.Role Summary/Purpose:The Manager – Enterprise Risk Analytics (L9) will be responsible for providing risk testing and data analytics support, with a focus on Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) initiatives. The analyst will leverage analytics and innovation to develop data-driven solutions that enhance BSA/AML risk detection, compliance, and operational efficiency across the organization. This role includes becoming a functional expert in Risk and Control Testing, collaborating closely with Synchrony Process Owners, including VP and SVP levels, and building strong partnerships with US-based stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Execute data-driven risk testing and analysis to support Compliance and Risk Management efforts.</li><li>Provide effective challenges and independent reviews on production codes.</li><li>Analyze complex AML-related data to identify risks, trends, and anomalies, providing actionable insights.</li><li>Collaborate with Synchrony Process Owners and senior leadership (VP, SVP levels) to ensure alignment with Compliance and Risk Management objectives.</li><li>Work closely with US-based stakeholders to support Risk Testing initiatives and ensure clear communication.</li><li>Prepare accurate and insightful reports and presentations for Risk Committees and senior management.</li><li>Maintain and enhance Risk Testing analytics frameworks and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.</li><li>Support continuous improvement efforts for control and risk assessment methodologies.</li><li>Stay updated on BSA/AML regulations and best practices to ensure data analytics testing remains compliant and relevant.</li><li>Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned</li></ul>Required Skills/Knowledge:<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in any stream with 2+ Years of work experience OR, in lieu of bachelors degree, 4+ years of work experience</li><li>2+ years’ hands-on experience in data analytics, or reporting</li><li>2+ years’ hands-on experience with Tableau or similar Visual Analytics tool such as SAS VIYA</li><li>2+ years’ hands-on experience with one or more data analytics tools including Python, R, SAS, and SQL, SPARK</li><li>Advanced Excel skillsets</li><li>Strong written/oral communication skills</li></ul>Desired Skills/Knowledge:<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM related or Business field</li><li>Experience in consumer credit/risk analytics/compliance role</li><li>Experience managing multiple Stakeholders and while prioritizing various initiatives</li><li>Demonstrated ability to think beyond raw data and understand the underlying business context and sense potential analytics opportunities</li><li>Experience developing advanced data visualizations and presentations with Tableau or other Visual Analytics tool</li><li>Commercially effective and collaborative across teams and functions</li><li>Experience working in Jira</li></ul>Eligibility Criteria:<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in any stream with 2+ Years of work experience OR, in lieu of bachelors degree, 4+ years of work experience</li><li>2+ years’ hands-on experience in data analytics, or reporting</li><li>2+ years’ hands-on experience with Tableau or similar Visual Analytics tool such as SAS VIYA</li><li>2+ years’ hands-on experience with one or more data analytics tools including Python, R, SAS, and SQL, SPARK</li></ul>Work Timings:This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally).
