Development Engineer (Bothell, WA)

Drive the future of oral healthcare by creating breakthrough innovations for Sonicare. In this role, you’ll develop new-to-world technologies that expand our product portfolio and make a real impact on millions of users worldwide.

Your role:

Responsible for the design, check and optimization, realization and integration, life-cycle management, and verification of (elements and parts of) Oral Healthcare products (power toothbrushes).
Develops the work with focus on user and business requirements, compliance, quality and cost.
Develops high level and detailed designs in accordance with the product, regulatory and other requirements.
Finalizes the design, integration and writes verification plans for the developed elements and parts. Tests, analyses and verifies the quality of the design.
Is responsible for delivering input in the planning process to the project manager. Draws up personal schedules and reports on progress in a structured and methodical way.

Youre the right fit with the following skills and experience:

You’ve acquired 2+ years of experience in areas such as Development or Design Engineering.
Your skills include technical problem solving, technical documentation, finite element analysis for static and dynamic stresses and experience translating customer-level requirements into detailed component-level specifications
You have a Bachelors/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. (No industry experience needed with master’s degree)
You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
You’ve demonstrated design experience in electro-mechanical product development and material selection for mass manufacturing, in particular injection molded parts, sheet metal parts and small parts assembly. (Practical CAD experience, Creo 10.0 preferred)
You have experience with rapid prototyping methods. Preferably experience within a regulated industry (medical devices desirable, along with knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management, FDA Quality System Regulations and ISO 13485).

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in (Bothell, WA) is $110,000 to $177,000

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
