Foundational
Experience with Data Center, Virtualization and Cloud computing environments.
Proficient in at least one eco system solution design
Basic competitive knowledge
Understanding of Instance Performance and Sizing
Cloud Capabilities
Experience in secure Cloud architectures
Experience with two or more public/private cloud vendors and automation toolset
Experience with multi-cloud design
Experience with Container orchestration solutions (eg: OpenShift, Kubernetes)
Proficient in one or more programming languages (Python, JavaScript, Golang, etc.)
Proficient in Ansible and/or Terraform
DevOps Capabilities
Ability to develop DevOps/DevSecOps training materials, best practices, reusable code, etc. Ability to produce technical documents and diagrams that convey technical architectural concepts.
Experience decomposing monolithic software applications into microservices architecture
Experience with Agile Development practices
Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and SCM tools
Proficient in one or more programming languages (Python, JavaScript, Golang, etc.)
Familiarity identifying application security vulnerabilities, threats and controls, and web application firewall (preferred but not required).
Experience with container orchestration platforms
Familiarity with container and cloud telemetry tools.
Security Capabilities
Experience assessing the impact of vulnerabilities and threats and designing controls
Advanced knowledge of web application security
Advanced experience with one of the following :
- Denial of Service threats, trends
- Authentication and authorization
- Automated threats (Bots, for example)
- Web Application and API (WAAP) Security
- Penetration scanning
- Code analystis scanning (SAST, DAST, etc.)
Understanding of modern application development methodologies
Detailed understanding of TLS
Qualifications
BS/BA or equivalent work experience
8+yrs related industry experience
Strong presentation, account management skills
Comprehensive F5 solutions knowledge or relevant experience in key competitor offerings preferred
Relevant certifications a plus

The annual base pay for this position is: $153,526.00 - $230,288.00F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
