The ideal candidate will have experience operationalizing advertising data to resolve complex delivery issues and optimize the advertising pipeline. You will need proven leadership skills, a sense of urgency, experience with critical service operations, and the ability to problem-solve in high-volume, production environments. This is an exciting opportunity for a data-enthusiast to join the fast-paced, talented professionals on the Ad Platform team.Responsibilities<ul><li>Ensure monitoring and alerting on production services are in place, and assist in the resolution of production incidents</li><li>Triage and troubleshoot operational issues, and provide Tier 2/3 support</li><li>Deliver on channel-specific key perfor­­mance metrics (KPM) to track channel health and growth</li><li>Develop strong partnerships with ad sales, business intelligence, engineering, product management, and analytics leaders to drive focus on strategic and tactical channel objectives</li><li>Maintain detailed operational documentation for both internal and external consumption</li><li>Suggest optimization and growth strategies, help manage key development milestones and deployments, and monitor effectiveness</li><li>Analyze and communicate the impact of key strategy, market, or product changes</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>3+ years in data analytics, BI, or data science—ideally in digital media or advertising.</li><li>Advanced SQL skills and experience with big data tools (e.g., Snowflake, Presto, Spark, Datadog, Athena).</li><li>Skilled in building and maintaining scalable data pipelines.</li><li>Proficient in at least one programming language (Python, Java, or JavaScript).</li><li>Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for workflow management.</li><li>Familiar with BI platforms (MicroStrategy, Tableau, Databricks, Qlik).</li><li>Understanding of data observability tools (Datadog, Grafana).</li><li>Comfortable working with large datasets (terabytes+).</li><li>Agile development experience, including sprint planning in Jira.</li><li>Strong collaboration and communication skills across teams.</li><li>Able to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. Skilled in documentation and presentation tools (Confluence, PowerPoint, LucidChart).</li><li>Analytical thinker with a team-first mindset and problem-solving drive.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience with digital advertising systems and ecosystems</li><li>Experience managing Financial Systems and/or building Financial reports</li><li>Experience using data analytics to triage and troubleshoot advertising workflows</li><li>Experience with network topologies, systems architecture overviews, and entity -relationship diagrams (ERD)</li></ul>Required Education<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics or Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, related technical fields, or equivalent experience</li></ul>The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica, CA and Glendale, CA is $106,900 to $143,300 per year and in New York City, NY and Seattle, WA is $112,000to $150,100. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidates geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
